Just heard this lady on 6 Music. So glad I searched and listened to several tracks, this is a fabulous cover. I adore Claire's voice. I want a copy of this album. Thank You Vertico60.

I put this version with Joni’s studio single, a live version she did on CBC TV a year before she recorded it and four more cover versions in my Joni playlist. Thanks for the upload!

Claire was born in the shadow of that bridge - Port Clarence, across the river from Middlesbrough. Have a listen to her interpretation of Pachelbel’s Canon in D. Mesmerising.

I haven't anything about Claire Hamill for many years now. Is she still involved with music? She appears to be in her 20's when she did this album. I hear a little bit of Buffy St. Marie in Claire's voice in some parts of this song.

Elizabeth,
Do you listen to a lot of folk? Folk music is my # 1 passion.
I listen to tons of different folk artists.
Elizabeth Linsay
Suzanne Lawson: I'm glad you liked it. It was written by Buffy Ste. Marie several years ago. I like Eva's version very much.

Elizabeth,
This is folkmusicgirl here. I listened to the song by Eve Cassidy that you mentioned. I have heard Eve's music but didn't know of her singing,
"Tall Trees in Georgia." Wow!!! Just unbelievably incredible!
Elizabeth Linsay
Folk music girl: I hear Buffy Ste. Marie's voice too a bit. You have a very good ear! ( you won't hear her voice in this song, but Eva Cassidy's version of "Tall Trees in Georgia" is aces. I promise.)
