Count Me Out
Cofield Mundi Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Because i don't know
Don't ask me what i'm feeling
I won't let it show
(chorus)
But if this is what love is
And if, this is what trust is
Count me out
But if this is what love is
And if, this is what trust is
Count me out
Count me out
Count me out
Don't make me stand in ceremony
I don't want to feel so lonely
And even if the sun won't shine today
I'll be thinking of you
(chorus)
And it feels like
And i believe in
Everything but you
And i don't know about us
And i guess i never will
When the sun comes up
And the day is long
And i'm feeling like i can't
Carry on
And all i can do is
Think about you
And all i can do is
Think about you
(chorus)
In Cofield Mundi's song "Count Me Out," the singer expresses confusion and uncertainty about his beliefs and emotions. He refuses to articulate them, indicating that he either cannot put them into words or chooses not to reveal them to others. The chorus repeats the phrase "if this is what love is / and if, this is what trust is / count me out," suggesting that the singer is grappling with the idea of these emotions and whether they are worth investing in. However, there is an ambiguity in this statement - it is not clear if the singer is rejecting the idea of love and trust altogether or if he is rejecting a specific understanding or experience of them.
