Why do people share every detail of their lives on social media?

But them never show love
Yet, they rarely show kindness or compassion for others.

I think we all just little bit desensitized to reality
We've become numb to real life and more interested in the highlight reel of others.

If you spend all your time studying others on social media, you'll become jealous and forget about your own life.

When you wake up in the morning what you scrolling for
When you wake up, why do you immediately turn to your phone to scroll social media?

And you don't like somebody's comment what you trolling for
And if you don't like someone's comment, why do you feel the need to attack them?

And when you check it them go throw in some ads sponsorships
And when you look at social media, you'll see ads and sponsorships promoting vanity and materialism.

And push vanity
All of this pushes a culture of vanity and materialism.

You can't go nowhere without somebody press record
It seems like everyone is always recording and documenting their lives, even in private moments.

Feels like we missing out on some of life's real reward
This constant focus on social media is causing us to miss out on the real rewards of life.

If you wanna show everybody just how big's your yard
If you really want to impress others, instead of showing off your material possessions, show them how much love and kindness you have to offer.

It's okay to do your own thing and not worry about impressing others.

But I don't really care what you do, as long as you're spreading love and kindness.

I love the idea everybody's life is reachable
I think it's great that social media has made it possible for everyone to share their life with the world.

But some youth them nowadays almost unteachable
But some young people have become so focused on social media that they're closed-minded and unteachable.

'Cause what them want the fame and likes
They're so focused on gaining fame and likes that they'll do anything to get it.

But my fear is them go do some unspeakable things to get a little hype
But my fear is that they'll do something terrible just to gain attention on social media.

Don't make the system trick you
Don't let the social media system manipulate you into doing something you don't want to do.

Youth all I'm saying is
Young people, all I'm trying to say is...

Don't let the pressures of society or social media get the best of you.
