In my opinion Ada Jones was a much better singer than Corine Morgan. Ada is also much easier to understand.

Yet Another Lee Morse Fan

@Billy Murray Fan No Corinne Morgan is just as fun.

Hi Billy Murray fan - Share your appreciation of Mr. Murray, probably from the first time I heard "Maggie! Come Right Upstairs" at Grandma's . Her father loved the flipside, "Cut Yourself A Piece of Cake and Make Yourself At Home". Question for you: I have the following old record, probably 1902: ’Mid the Green Fields of Virginia There are no singers attributed to this song, and no logo at all on the label: it simply says “Columbia Disc Record Columbia Phonograph Co. New York. London. Grand Prize Paris, 1900 ’Mid the Green Fields of Virginia Bariton and Tenor Duet No. 259” One-sided, of course. It begins with a person announcing: “Mid the Green Fields of Virginia. By Morgan and Stanley, Columbia Records.” Have not found any information about this particular copy online. Any ideas how to find out more about it? Anyway, best regards!
