Blue Moon Revisited
Cowboy Junkies Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I only want to say
That if there is a way
I want my baby back with me
'cause he's my true love
My only one don't you see?

And on that fateful day
Perhaps in the new sun of May
My baby walks back into my arms
I'll keep him beside me
Forever from harm

You see I was afraid
To let my baby stray
I kept him too tightly by my side
And then one sad day
He went away and he died

Blue Moon, you saw me standing alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
Blue Moon, you knew just what I was there for
You heard me saying a prayer for
Someone I really could care for

I only want to say
That if there is a way
I want my baby back with me

'cause he's my true love
My only one don't you see?

My wife told me she loved me for the first time while were listening to this very song in my car.
She passed in 2001. I love and miss her still.

@hoserfella

my wife and I met in a bar and danced to this song the first time we met. Later that night she sucked my cock behind a Denny's. She recently died after cutting a major artery in a sawmill accident. I miss those blowjobs..

The bass makes you close your eyes and drift away, while the guitar takes you off to dreamland. The vocals takes your hand and guides you through. The drum is the beat of your heart...

In her prime, Margo Timmins was one of the best female singers in N.A. in any genre, and this may well be one of the 5 best debut albums for a basically unknown band. The Trinity Session is a top-25 rock/whatever you choose to call it album of my life time. I can only think of a few records to which I've listened more than this one...
