Wish I could see your face more
But that's what FaceTime's here for
I know your girls been saying I'm a waste of time (oh yeah)
But you ain't been around a guy with a heart like mine (no way)
I remember the day when I fell in love with you
I'll fight for your love promise we won't hit the ground
Don't you worry now baby 'cause you know love will come around
'Cause you know love will come around
'Cause you know love will come around
Slowly, slowly, slowly, slowly yeah, yeah, don't you worry now, baby
'Cause you know love will come
You know that you got to let this story play out (yeah, yeah)
Relax and hold this thing down (yeah, yeah)
Promise I won't let you down
We got the juice and I can't deny that's why I am with you
This ain't some goodbye, stronger than ever we can't divide, we can't divide
I remember the day when I fell in love with you
Any troubles you had, side by side see them through
I'll fight for your love promise we won't hit the ground
Don't you worry now baby 'cause you know love will come around
'Cause you know love will come around
'Cause you know love will come around
Slowly, slowly, slowly, slowly yeah, yeah, don't you worry now, baby
'Cause you know love will come around
A love like yours is hard to come by (oh yeah)
And every day with you feels like it's just life
The sun comes out when you're around
And when I'm back from tour I'll let you know when I touch down (oh)
I remember the day when I fell in love with you
Any troubles you had, side by side see them through
I'll fight for your love promise we won't hit the ground
Don't you worry now baby 'cause you know love will come around
'Cause you know love will come around
'Cause you know love will come around
Slowly, slowly, slowly, slowly yeah, yeah, don't you worry now, baby
'Cause you know love will come around
'Cause you know love will come around
'Cause you know love will come around
Slowly, slowly, slowly, slowly yeah, yeah, don't you worry now, baby
'Cause you know love will come (yeah)
In Craig David's Love Will Come Around, the singer addresses his partner while on tour, acknowledging the difficulties of maintaining a long-distance relationship. He assures her that their love is worth fighting for, even in the face of doubts from her friends. Despite their current distance, he reassures her that love will come around and that they will be reunited soon. Throughout the song, there is a sense of emotional vulnerability and devotion, with David promising to "fight for your love" and "promise we won't hit the ground." The repetition of the phrase "don't you worry now, baby, 'cause you know love will come around" serves as a reassuring and uplifting mantra for the listener.
The lyrics are relatable for anyone who has experienced a long-distance relationship or a relationship that is being tested by outside factors. The use of colloquial phrases, such as "that's what FaceTime's here for," adds a sense of realism and authenticity to the song. David's smooth vocals and the catchy beat of the song add to its appeal, making it a popular choice for R&B and pop fans.
