Crypt Keeper is a 4 piece thrash rock band based out of the West Coast and are known for their energetic live performances and radical riffs. The band formed in late August of 2010 when bassist Brian Shea moved back to California from Florida. He and drummer David Francis had been talking of starting a group upon his arrival and recruited long time friend/guitarist Demecus Hill. The lineup was just about complete. They asked Joey Camello to join the band and do vocals. He agreed to give it a shot seeing as he had never been the frontman of any of his previous bands. The four clicked immediately and starting punching out songs like nothing. Practicing whenever possible in their rehearsal spot in Oakland,CA they wrote their first album in two months and went on to record with legendary Bart Thurber at House of Faith Recordings in November and have self released their debut 7” on Friday May 13th,2011. Since August the band has been playing whatever show they can get on in the area and are planning on doing a West Coast tour very soon. So, Creeps and Creepettes…Keep your eyes and ears peeled for this band. If they are in your area it is highly recommended that you drop what you are doing and cancel all previous engagements to go check out this heavy hitting band.
Good Riddance
Crypt Keeper Lyrics

Should have known trusting you would be a death sentence
Now you wanna go and place the blame on me
Weren't you the one who begged me not to leave
Good riddance, good riddance
I'm so goddamn glad we're finished
Good riddance, good riddance
Can't wait to forget your existence
So long
So long
So long
So long, so glad you're gone
So long
So long
So long
So long
So long, so glad you're gone
Wish I would have known how badly you would screw me
I never, ever, ever, ever would have let you lie next to me
Everything about you is so damn fake
Why don't you slither away with the rest of the snakes
Karmas a bitch and its coming your way, you deserve it
Keep placing the blame on everybody else
It's plain to see all you really care about is yourself
Good riddance, good riddance
I'm so goddamn glad we're finished
Good riddance, good riddance
Can't wait to forget your existence
So long
So long
So long
So long
So long, so glad you're gone
So long
So long
So long
So long
So long, so glad you're gone
Now you wanna go and place the blame on me
Can't behave like a dog, expect to be treated like a queen
**woof, woof**
Good riddance, good riddance
I'm so goddamn glad we're finished
Good riddance, good riddance
Can't wait to forget your existence
So long
So long
So long
So long
So long, so glad you're gone
So long
So long
So long
So long
So long, so glad you're gone
In the lyrics of Crypt Keeper's "Good Riddance," the singer addresses a toxic relationship where they were deceived and betrayed by someone with malicious intentions. The singer reflects on the realization that they should have seen through the facade of the other person's victim mentality and recognized the danger in trusting them. The line "Should have known trusting you would be a death sentence" suggests that the betrayal felt like a fatal mistake in hindsight.
The chorus of the song repeatedly emphasizes the relief and satisfaction felt by the singer for finally ending the toxic relationship. The phrase "Good riddance" is a declaration of liberation and release from the negativity and manipulation inflicted by the other person. The repetition of "So long, so glad you're gone" reinforces the sense of closure and the eagerness to move on from the toxic individual.
The lyrics also touch upon the theme of karma, implying that the deceptive individual will eventually face the consequences of their actions. The singer expresses disgust towards the fake persona of the other person and dismisses them as being selfish and insincere. The reference to snakes symbolizes deceit and betrayal, indicating that the singer sees through the facade of the other person.
In the final verse, the singer reaffirms their newfound freedom and refuses to take the blame for the toxic dynamics of the relationship. The analogy of comparing the other person's behavior to that of a dog expecting royal treatment highlights the hypocrisy and entitlement displayed by the deceptive individual. The use of the onomatopoeia "woof, woof" adds a touch of sarcasm and dismissiveness towards the other person's attempts to shift blame. Overall, the lyrics of "Good Riddance" convey a sense of empowerment and closure after breaking free from a toxic and manipulative relationship.
