Crystal Lake Lyrics

I see this way of this life you sustain
War goes on in the name of god
War goes on as my heart's about to break
Know that when you fall again
You will be the only one to blame
Evolution leads to destruction
Cause time will tell
With this fire in your hands
I watch you burn
Let it all burn
Everything you've got
And everything you love
Till the end I'll watch you burn
Let it all burn
This is the end
This is the end of our future
Till the end I'll watch you burn
This is a warning to you all
You will rise to surely fall
This is a warning to you all
This is a warning to you all
If your future becomes this singularity
Or this point of no return
Will you hide behind the inconvenient reality
Like it's a matter of no concern
Once this polarity turns upside down
Regularity turns inside out
Without a doubt
This is a warning to you all
You will rise to surely fall
Burn burn burn
Will you burn it down
You're not alone
We all burn together
The time has come
When you lose direction
Burn burn burn
Will you burn it down
It's out of control
We're heading to destruction
Burn burn burn
Will you burn it down
The song "Prometheus" by Crystal Lake is a warning call to all humanity to reflect on the consequences of our actions and how they negatively impact the environment we live in. The song starts with the singer observing Earth from above, and seeing how humans are destroying it. The lyrics "War goes on in the name of god," refer to the many wars that have been fought throughout history in the name of religion, and how this has contributed to the destruction of our planet. The singer warns that if we continue on this path, we will be the ones responsible for the eventual downfall of humanity.
The chorus of the song is a call to action, asking listeners to let everything burn down, including the things that we love. The burning symbolizes the destruction of everything we have created, including the environment, but also wars, politics, religion, and society as a whole. The singer watches everything burn down until the end, indicating that through the destruction, there is a possibility of a new beginning.
The song's title is also a significant reference to Greek mythology, where Prometheus is the titan who stole fire from the gods and gave it to humanity. The gift of fire symbolizes knowledge, and the song encourages listeners to use this knowledge to prevent the inevitable destruction of humanity.
