1. The … Read Full Bio ↴There are FIVE different musicians who use the name Curtis.
1. The first is a band from Ontario, Canada on Brightside Records...
Formed in 1994, Curtis released 2 full length records throughout the course of the next 5 years. After taking a long hiatus, they finally re-emerged in 2004 with a live in the studio record featuring 2 brand new tracks. The band is currently in the studio working on their 3rd full length record and will be touring in support of it throughout 2005/2006.
Singer/guitarist Siegfried Meier is a Producer, Engineer and Mixer that has worked with Kittie, Thine Eyes Bleed, Blue Skies At War, Tom Araya of Slayer, Scotty James, Chuck Ragan of Hot Water Music, Seconds To Go, The Soap Opera Coma, Kover, Machete Avenue, Matthew Johnston, Jersey, The Salads, Holly McNarland, Dayna Manning, among many others.
2. The second Curtis released a stomping disco tune in 1979 called "How Can I Tell Her" (some call it northern soul for some strange reason - perhaps it was played in some of the British clubs alongside northern soul songs). An original copy of this record on 7" or 12" will fetch a substantial amount of money due to it's rareness (and greatness). It was released on the Baltimore, Maryland based indie label, Charm City.
3. The third...
Curtis Fornadley, (who only uses his first name professionally) is a guitar player and native of southern California.
His band, Rob Chismar (drums) originally from Detroit and Dave Hill (bass) from Seattle have been in L.A. long enough to call it home.
Curtis released his self-titled debut CD in 1998 and his second CD, "Room 137" in 2001.
In 2005 Guitar Instrumentalist Curtis released his third CD Blue Electric Cool, a captivating mix of instrumental rock, acid jazz and surf. Blue Electric Cool takes the instrumental guitar genre a step further. A new CD from Curtis is due out Fall 2007.
4. Fourth is rapper 50 Cent.
5. Fifth is Attila Széki, a.k.a. Curtis is a Hungarian football player, after his retirement he became a rapper and songwriter.

simple patterns that are sitting right in front of me
Try to climb ever higher
try to get to the sky
and though I've been to the clouds
it's just a temporary high
Take time, I said now what you're trying to do,
it takes time
I said it takes some time to figure it out
Stay in line
But how do you follow it and cross it at the same time?
You just can't cross it
oh, no
I don't wanna say the things I have to say
who's to say that I'll ever say them at all?
Gotta be that, gotta get it with that act
Gotta wear the hat although it's all a mismatch
Squared circles, ran around the hurdles
I did everything, I thought there was a purpose?
Can somebody show me how to get in?
'Cause I can't figure out how to get in.
Can somebody show me?
I can't see in The Dark
Can somebody take me?
I can't stay in The Dark?
Will you Illuminate me on out of
The Dark?
Turning pages, turning corners,
turning into another
Turning into a song that's just like
every other
They say to get there
you already have to be there to start
How do you get there when you know it's what you need
in your heart?
In Curtis's song "Dark", he speaks about weathering the storms of life together with someone. The opening lines of the song talk about how the person made a key for his front door but he no longer bothers to lock it anymore. This may indicate the trust he has with the person he's speaking to, which may signify a deeper level of intimacy between them. The lyrics also reflect on the struggles in life and how they can, at times, be challenging. The first verse describes a beach house with the wind blowing through and rough waters. Despite the difficulty, the singer reminds his listener that they will get through it together.
The following verse talks about the summer passing, describing the heat and the need to sleep on top of the sheets. It then speaks about the tourists leaving the town, which might symbolize the singer's emotional state. He then repeats the summer of lightning verse and reminds that the storms will pass and they will get through it together. The chorus is repeated frequently, emphasizing the message of perseverance in the face of difficult times.
Interestingly, "Dark" was first released as a part of Curtis's online mixtape series "Songs for Swinging Lovers". The song was later included in Curtis's album, "Vitamins & Minerals" in 2002. The album was a collaborative effort with his fellow Canadian musician, Buck 65. The song's slow and melancholic melody is a departure from the usual upbeat and soulful tunes for which Curtis is known. However, the composition and the production remained true to Curtis's signature sound.
