I lived in this house from 1966 to 1972. My parents bought the house from Jack Webb and had noted interior designer Arthur Elrod do all the interiors.

I too was a kid in that time period and now have a great appreciation for mid-century design. People can't understand that we live this in our childhood. What a marvelous time to be alive then and now. 🌞

We saw almost nothing of the interior in this video, but what little there was, was Elrod? I am greatly unimpressed. But what great fun that you got to live in this house.

@Jakeornot This was a not so subtle advertisement for Wayfair and other Chinese manufactured "Modern Furniture". Not a stick of Elrod design to be seen. You have to be extremely careful of Youtube videos masquerading as commercials. They lost me on the Edison Bulbs. I would not hire these two design hacks for any project and as I always say, if you see it on HGTV, it is out of date.

I once had a conversation with an architect who said mid-century modern was cold and had no character. I told him that could be corrected by use of color. This video proves it.

I think this video was made more for advertising purposes, to profit from the accessories or furniture they showcase because they showed like the entry, barely, and the living room, again, sort of, w/out offering any details as to which parts of the home have been updated or renovated or is the same from the time Webb owned it.
If I was interested in the historical design pieces and wanted modern day recommendations for said pieces, then this video would be great but otherwise, really didn’t get a picture of Jack Webbs home.
Nevertheless, I adore the outside design of the home.

Liked it.. but wanted to see the kitchen too. an maybe the back of the house & yard area. Only thing that really jumped out at me were the muti-color glass pendants by the front door.

Edison style lamps (light bulb) are more late 19th & early 20th Century. I seriously doubt that you would have seen an Edison bulb in a mid century modern home when they were new. What I do see is a lot of subtle advertising for Wayfare etc, Chinese junk import furniture and bad modern MCM stuff.

We were shown almost nothing. Is this typical of these shows? There was no "tour." (Not wanting to offend, but there is no reason for Kelli's 'look'. She needs a new stylist. Really. What IS that look?) Where is the "tour"?

It was nice but for a "Star" it was somewhat boring... Remembering, Picasso and Monet were all the buzz in the mid 1950's and a famous well paid actor could have done better than a yawn interior design...

The interior - not that they bothered to show us any - was redesigned after Webb sold it. This is not what the interior looked like. How can you not know that.
