No stranger to spotlight, he has toured with many acts, including DJ Logic, Devotchka, Cabaret Diosa, The Motet, members of Lotus, Particle and more.
In October 2009, he released "Before I Sing," an 11-track masterpiece merging modern Hip Hop with vintage Motown and Soul Jazz. In January 2010 he released "Beyond the Looking Glass," a 4 song preview of a 2-volume release due out this spring. This new release fuses elements of Hip Hop and and Soul with modern rock guitar and dubstep textures.
In early 2009 he won the Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey remix contest for their tune "Tetherball," which was release on 1320 records.
Brian Haas of JFJO says “"The new D.V.S. album, 'Before I Sing', combines beautiful melodies, super fat beats, jazz guitar power, and lush horn harmonies into true, relevant psychedelic trip hop. The vocal samples are tasteful, emotional and spiritual colors that take the human voice into a melodic fragment world reminiscent of late Miles Davis trumpet work. The record tells a story from beginning to end, has a musical arc from first track to last track and employs real theme and development within each composition. Very positive sounds from a unique, new voice in modern music....highly recommended."
COME ON HOME
D.V.S* Lyrics

I'd never leave for a minute
But things don't always turn out
The way we want them to
So while I'm away
I want you to remember
How much I love you
I love you, I love you
Let this love lift you up
When you're feelin' blue
Wherever I go, I will be loving you
Think of me when you see
Places we once shared
Whatever I do, someday I'll need you there
Wherever I go, whatever I do
I'll always come home
I'll come home to you
Even though we both know
You're not in my arms
Wherever I go, you're always in my heart
Just you ask, I'll come back
Though we're miles apart
Whatever I do, I'll come to where you are
Wherever I go, whatever I do
I'll always come home
I'll come home to you
Wherever I go, whatever I do
I'll always come home
I'll come home to you
The lyrics in D.V.S* & Michal Menert's song Come on Home express a deep longing for a love that they cannot always be physically near. The first stanza expresses the desire to be with the person they love always, but life doesn't always go as planned, and so they end up having to be apart. In the chorus, they continue to express their love for this person, telling them that no matter where they go, they'll always be loving them. They implore the person to think of them when they see places they once shared, communicating that their memory will always be present with them, even though they're not physically around. They make it clear that even if they're not in their partner's arms, their love for them is steadfast, and they'll always carry them in their heart.
The second stanza is similar to the first, but this time there's a sense of determination to always come back to the person they love. They communicate that no matter where they are, they'll always come home to them. The repetition of the phrase "Whatever I do, I'll come home to you" in the last two lines of this stanza and the chorus reinforces this resolve.
Overall, the song is a reminder that even though circumstances may divide us physically, the memory of love and the longing to be together remain. Though they may be apart, the lyrics express a hope and determination to always remain connected, with an unbreakable bond.
