Paradise Bird Theory
DJ Krush Lyrics

Various joys reflected at the commencement of the New Century
Dreams expanding, tell tales of future
Then appeared Gokuraku-cho, flying down
Black shadow gives a cold laugh
History of genocide repeated itself
Brainwashing by media
Blinded mass psychology
Even now, broken souls wander in the air
It might happen tomorrow
Impulse of distruction stems out of solitude and the air of catastrophe
Trusth of madness that lies behind smiles
Fading them out is unacceptable
Extinction of bodies, and murder of souls
Halt, look back, think
And proceed the Ended Century
What's waiting ahead is...
The lyrics of DJ Krush's song "Paradise Bird Theory" are a reflection on the end of the 20th century and the start of the new millennium. The lyrics describe the various joys that people experienced at the beginning of the new century and how dreams were expanding to tell tales of the future. However, amidst these positive changes, a foreboding presence appears in the form of Gokuraku-cho, a black shadow that gives a cold laugh. The lyrics suggest that this shadow represents the darker aspects of human nature, including the potential for genocide, the ego-driven actions of individuals, and the influence of a corrupt media that can lead to mass psychology and the broken souls that come with it.
The lyrics also suggest that the impulse for destruction stems from a sense of solitude and the air of catastrophe that surrounds us. The truth behind the madness that lies behind smiles is hidden, and fading it out is not possible. The extinction of bodies and souls is unacceptable, and the lyrics urge the listener to look back, think and proceed with caution into the new century, which is depicted as unknown and foreboding.
In summary, the lyrics of "Paradise Bird Theory" suggest that while there were positive changes at the dawning of the new millennium, there is also darkness and destruction that lies within us, and we must approach the future with caution and reflection.
