1) Dala is an acoustic-folk two-piece musical group, made up by Sheila Carabine and Amanda Walther, both of Scarborough, Ontario. Since their formation in 2002, Carabine and Walther's rich vocal harmonies, their sense of humour, and their appearances at Canadian music festivals has largely increased their fan base across Canada. Both girls were raised in musical families and utilize their skills with both guitar and piano.
Dala released their first album in 2005, titled This Moment is a Flash. Since then they have released two other albums, including their most recent one Who Do You Think You Are. Their official site is: http://www.dalagirls.com/
2) Dala was the solo musical project of Dave Allison. He started composing music in 1992. His music is electronic and largely experimental, recalling such artists as The Black Dog, The Future Sound of London, and Autechre. He has played live several times. His website can be found at: http://www.hybridproductions.org/dala/
In 2007, he changed the name to Exisonic.
3) dala is a side project of musician, artist and songwriter Guy Dale. Others include his work with the band Funés and Mute Swimmer. The music he produces under this moniker is largely instrumental consisting of manipulated sound drawn from concrete, electric and acoustic sources. Many of the projects involve certain conceptual contraints such as a track composed entirely from the sound of a cheap radio or the amplified static of a recording of 'nothing'. In 2005 Dala composed music for a short film entitled 'Paisaje Cero' by the spanish artist Anna Martinez Garcia.

Leur tirer d'ssus, la solution
La piraterie, la seule issue
Papier, stylo, quatre motions
Message codé sur bout d'tissu
D'où j'suis issu, peu d'options
En freestyle, testent leurs plus gros sons
Soyez pas déçus
7.8, D.O, wesh
Sors ton biff, tu veux pécho, bleh
Soit plier questions blèches
Fuck mes haters et leurs vestons guez
Placard, Bois d'Ar', OF1
Gros, m'sucer, ils insistent
Navire noir, on résiste
Ils sont nés, on existe
Que la juge qui nous exile, ouais
J'veux que du biff, pas tes seins

The lyrics of Dala's song "Bitcoin" suggest themes of rebellion, survival, and the pursuit of wealth. The song begins by asserting that the solution to the struggles faced by the singer and their community is piracy, presented as the only way out. The use of paper, pen, and emotions hint at a method of communication and expression. The mention of tracking and testing their opponents' "biggest sounds" in freestyle adds to the rebellious and confrontational tone. The lyrics encourage the listeners to not be disappointed, emphasizing the singer's confidence and refusal to back down.
The second paragraph offers a glimpse into the singer's mindset and desires. They mention numerical figures, possibly referring to Area Codes, indicating their familiarity with certain regions. The phrase "Soit plier questions blèches" suggests a dismissive attitude toward trivial matters. The lyrics express contempt for the singer's haters and their derogatory attire. References to specific locations and their own activities imply involvement in illegal or underground activities. The desire for "biff" (money) rather than the other person's "seins" (breasts) indicates a focus on material wealth and a rejection of superficiality. The repetition of "J'nique tout direct, pas d'essai" reinforces their determination to succeed without hesitation, despite acknowledging that their lifestyle may not be healthy.
The third paragraph portrays the singer as someone who quickly accumulates wealth, skillfully evading authorities. They indicate that money is their primary motivation, while also highlighting their love for their daughter's smile. The mention of "baqueux" (police) and filling the shopping cart hints at potentially illegal means of acquiring wealth. They focus on money rather than indulgences, and identify themselves as a cultivator of the "riff" (likely referring to music), using a metaphor of a lightsaber-wielding Sith Lord. The lyrics express a desire to remain independent, resisting the pressures to conform. The singer's existence is only acknowledged in contrast to others, suggesting a sense of rebellion and defiance against societal norms.
In the final paragraph, the emphasis remains on the pursuit of wealth, rejecting anything that deviates from that goal. The repetition of "J'veux que du biff, pas tes seins" emphasizes their single-mindedness and rejection of distractions. The phrase "J'change en Bitcoin billets violets" signifies a potential shift to cryptocurrency transactions, with the violet bills representing a digital currency. The lyrics suggest that the singer feels watched by others, possibly referring to law enforcement or rivals. They express a hunger for money, resorting to actions such as theft and trading to survive, despite acknowledging the less-than-ideal nature of these activities. Overall, the lyrics convey an unapologetic pursuit of wealth and survival in a rebellious manner.
