Damian was two years old when his father Bob died; he is the only child born to Marley and Cindy Breakspeare, Miss World 1976. Damian's nickname Junior Gong is derived from his father's nickname of Tuff Gong. Damian has been performing since the age of 13 and released his first album in 1996, at the age of 18. He shares, along with most of his family, a full-time career in music. Unlike his brothers and sisters, however, his musical specialty is "toasting", a Jamaican vocal technique that is a predecessor to rapping.
Damian has 3 records to date, including the highest placed reggae album in the USA billboard album charts with Welcome To Jamrock, and the highest place reggae song in the UK Top 40 with Welcome to Jamrock.
Like his father before him and the rest of the Marley family, he is a Rastafarian and his music reflects the Rastafari guiding principles of love and political freedom.

It's hotter than July
Though the world's full of problems
They couldn't touch us even if they tried
From the park I hear rhythms
Marley's hot on the box
Tonight there will be a party
On the corner at the end of the block
Would be jammin' until the break of dawn
I bet nobody ever told you that you
Would be jammin' until the break of dawn
You would be jammin' and jammin' and jammin', jam on
They want us to join their fighting
But our answer today
Is to let all our worries
Like the breeze through our fingers slip away
Peace has come to Zimbabwe
Third World's right on the one
Now's the time for celebration
'Cause we've only just begun
Didn't know that you
Would be jammin' until the break of dawn
Bet you nobody ever told you that you
Would be jammin' until the break of dawn
You would be jammin' and jammin' and jammin', jam on
Bet you nobody ever told you that you
(We're in the middle of the makin's of the master blaster jammin')
Would be jammin' until the break of dawn
I know nobody told you that you
(We're in the middle of the makin's of the master blaster jammin')
Would be jammin' until the break of dawn
We're jammin', jammin', jammin', jam on
You ask me am I happy
Well as matter of fact
I can say that I'm ecstatic
'Cause we all just made a pact
We've agreed to get together
Joined as children in Jah
When you're moving in the positive
Your destination is the brightest star
You didn't know that you
(We're in the middle of the makin's of the master blaster jammin')
Would be jammin' until the break of dawn
I bet you nobody ever told you that you
(We're in the middle of the makin's of the master blaster jammin')
Would be jammin' until the break of dawn
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, you
(We're in the middle of the makin's of the master blaster jammin')
Would be jammin' until the break of dawn
Don't you stop the music, oh no,
(We're in the middle of the makin's of the master blaster jammin')
Na, na na
(We're in the middle of the makin's of the master blaster jammin')
Nobody told you oh, oh, oh, you
(We're in the middle of the makin's of the master blaster jammin')
Would be jammin' until the break of dawn
I bet you if someone approached you
(We're in the middle of the makin's of the master blaster jammin')
Yesterday to tell you that you would be jammin'
You would not believe it
Because you never thought that you would be jammin'
Oh, oh, oh, oh,
(We're in the middle of the makin's of the master blaster jammin')
Jammin' 'til the break of dawn
Oh, oh, oh, you may as well believe what you are feeling
(We're in the middle of the makin's of the master blaster jammin')
Because you feel your body jammin'
(We're in the middle of the makin's of the master blaster jammin')
Oh, Oh, you would be jammin' until the break of dawn
(We're in the middle of the makin's of the master blaster jammin')
(We're in the middle of the makin's of the master blaster jammin')
In "Master Blaster (Jammin')," Damian Marley celebrates the power of music to unite people and help them transcend the problems of the world. The lyrics describe a scene where everyone is feeling good and dancing together to the rhythm of Bob Marley music. Even though there are problems in the world, these people are able to find joy and peace through the music. Damian speaks to the idea that music has the power to break down boundaries, create connections, and foster a sense of community.
The second verse of the song specifically honors the country of Zimbabwe for achieving peace and the Third World for their strength and resilience in the face of adversity. Damian argues that it is precisely this kind of positive, forward-thinking energy that we need to embrace if we want to create a better world for ourselves and future generations. As the song progresses, the music becomes increasingly frenetic and joyful, building to a climax that is both celebratory and affirming.

Ky-Mani has the best sounding voice since his Daddy's time!
OJAN
kymani only sings the second half of verse 2.. you must’ve meant Stephen who’s mostly singing on this track, including the chorus, and the first half of verses 1 & 2😎
Kymani’s voice sounds very similar to Stephen’s on this track so I can see how you’d confuse the two!
