Singer Ted Poley and guitarist Andy Timmons left the band after "Screw It!" was released (and having recorded a third album which got shelved). The band brought in Paul Laine to replace Poley for 1995's "Dawn" and on.
In 2001, Laine would record vocals for the shelved album they had recorded with Poley. Fans wanted to hear both singers, so they released this album, "Cockroach" as a 2-disc set, both discs having the same songs (Laine's had a bonus track), the only difference being the vocalist.
2003 saw the return of Ted Poley to the band. Danger Danger would then release "Prime Cuts", a collection of rare tracks and demos from the 80s with Ted Poley.
Their latest release is a live album recorded during their last tour with singer Paul Laine.
They also contributed a track called "Naughty Naughty Christmas" to the "Have A Very Hairy Christmas" Compilation.
the record label has sent them back in the studio to record a new album this year 2008. Their latest album is entitled "Revolve" and was released sometime in September 2009
Yeah You Want It!
Danger Danger Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
From across the room
With your backstage pass
From a roadie you blow
Girl you act so cool
You like to play it shy
But you can't fool me
Chorus:
Yeah, you want it!
Yeah, you want it!
Yeah, you want it!
Yeah, you want it!
We want it too!
DD time
You go to all the shows
When they cum to town
All the girls know your face
They say you been around
You went from L.A. Guns
To Enuff Z'nuff
And then you partied with Poison
On the bak of their bus
Chorus
DD time
Your mother thinks we're rude
And Tipper says we're trash
But as far as I'm concerned
You can kiss my ass
So come on baby
You ain't no yuppie
Do the right thing
And bust those puppies
Chorus
The lyrics of Danger Danger's Yeah You Want It! contain a glimpse into the world of rock 'n' roll stardom and the women who long to be a part of it. The opening verse describes a woman with a backstage pass, who tries to play it cool but can't hide her desire for the "wild sex vibe" that permeates through the room. The chorus, with its repeated affirmation of "Yeah, you want it!", suggests that the woman is not alone in her longing and that the band is more than willing to fulfill their desires.
The second verse goes on to describe the woman's dedication to the rock 'n' roll lifestyle, attending all the shows and earning a reputation among other fans. The mention of other bands such as L.A. Guns and Enuff Z'nuff, as well as the invitation to party with Poison, adds a sense of authenticity to the lyrics and creates a sense of camaraderie with the listener. The final verse takes aim at the critics who dismiss rock 'n' roll as vulgar and offensive, asserting the band's right to express themselves and revel in their success.
