Where the starts seem to be crying
In this green valley, I let go out my desire
For some peace and quiet I'm dying
My song is strong over the gale
Like a nightfall rending the air
Cloaked in the light of the blaze, I am waiting
For the return of my fate
Where I could spend my life
By the sea, in my sleep, I can breathe the cold wind
And this frozen wind recalls me that I have never dreamed
I still can't awake. There's no sun there's no day
Pierced by the lance of the pain... I'm not afraid!
I feel like a solitary desert swept by the wind
Here, sweet voices whisper me
Everything is still the same in my dreams
I don't want to fall asleep
My song is strong over the gale
Like a nightfall rending the air
Cloaked in the veil of the night, I'm lying
I sense the end in my mind
I never try to find and nothing makes me cry
Where I could spend my life
By the sea, in my sleep, I can breathe the cold wind
And this frozen wind recalls me that I have never dreamed
I still can't awake. There's no sun there's no day
Pierced by the lance of the pain... I'm not afraid!
Cloaked in the light of the blaze, I am waiting
For the return of my fate
I never try to find and nothing makes me cry
Where I could spend my life
By the sea, in my sleep, I can breathe the cold wind
And this frozen wind recalls me that i have never dreamed
I still can't awake. There's no sun there's no day
Pierced by the lance of the pain... I'm not afraid!
The lyrics to Dark Moor's song Beyond the Fire are a beautifully crafted and poignant reminder of the power of music to transport us to a place where we can find solace and peace. The song speaks of the dark and mysterious world beyond the fire, where the stars seem to be crying and the wind whispers sweetly in the ear of the listener. The singer lets go of his desire for peace and quiet, and instead finds himself swept away by the strength of his own voice, which cuts through the darkness like a knife.
The imagery in the lyrics is vivid and haunting, describing a landscape that is at once beautiful and terrible, where the wind is frozen and the light of the blaze is an ephemeral cloak of protection. The singer is waiting for the return of his fate, and as he lies in the cloak of the night, he senses the end in his mind. He has never tried to find anything that makes him cry, but he knows that he can spend his life by the sea, in his sleep, breathing the cold wind that reminds him that he has never dreamed. Though he is inflicted by the lance of pain, he is not afraid, but rather he welcomes it, knowing that it is a sign of life.
The lyrics of Beyond the Fire speak to the power of music, of how it can transport us to another place where we can lose ourselves in its beauty and find the strength to face the difficult times in our lives. It is a reminder that in the darkness, there is always light, and that we are never alone.
