Darren has been on the dance scene for over 13 years despite, having started DJ-ing in the world of underground Hardcore at just 16. He started producing and writing tracks with Paul Force in 1993…rapidly becoming two of the biggest names on a new scene which was just beginning. Over the next few years they continued writing and producing together and were responsible for a host of Hardcore classics – they were the first hardcore DJ’s to produce a Mix for Pete Tong’s Essential Mix on Radio One. They gained awards as best producers, best DJ’s and best tracks in numerous Hardcore Awards.
Encouraged from an early age by his father, an avid blues fan, Darren had always possessed a passionate craving for music. Many late nights were spent enthusiastically mastering his natural ability on the keyboard, engineering it into an undisputed skill whilst developing his own style, ever inspired by Dance music.
Armed with this passion and well-earned musical talent, this 16 year old with serious ambition was to become one of the biggest ever names in the Hardcore arena, which he did with his releases “Back to the old school” and “Feeling Me”. Now Darren makes seriously uplifting hard trance with his single “Black Magic” and has made remixes for labels like Honey Pot and Nukleuz Records with his biggest hit being his stellar remix of “Silence” which was canned by the likes of Paul van Dyk.

Satellite
Darren Styles Lyrics

Disappear into the sun
Watch the earth just like a satellite
And some day you might find where you belong
[6x]
If you fly just like an angel
Disappear into the sun
And some day you might find where you belong
The lyrics of Darren Styles's "Satellite" are filled with imagery that speaks of a person's search for belonging and purpose in life. With the opening line "If you fly just like an angel," the song suggests a form of transcendence beyond the earthly realm, as if the singer is urging the listener to tap into their innermost potential and explore the vastness of existence. The next line "Disappear into the sun" further emphasizes this idea of leaving behind the limitations of the material world and setting out on a journey of self-discovery.
The chorus of the song repeats the phrase "Watch the earth just like a satellite" several times, likening the listener to a satellite that observes the world from a distance, detached yet curious. The song suggests that by taking this detached perspective, a person may gain insight into their true identity and purpose in life - this is the ultimate goal of the journey suggested in the opening lines. The repetition of the phrase "And someday you might find where you belong" underscores this idea of searching and discovering, urging the listener to never give up until they find their rightful place in the world.
Overall, "Satellite" is a song that speaks to the human yearning for spiritual fulfillment and self-discovery. The imagery of an angelic being soaring through the sky and observing the world from a distance suggests a deep-seated desire for transcendence and a longing to find a place in the universe. By tapping into this inner desire and taking a detached perspective, the song suggests that one can gain insight and ultimately find their true purpose.
