I can honestly say that since Daughtry has begun releasing his albums, the songs he sings always seem to pertain to what I am going through or the songs speak a message that I need to hear at a given time. When "Backbone" first came out, my mom found out she had breast cancer with three aggressive tumors. She has now been cancer free for three years. I worked at a job with a boss who mentally abused me for two years and I was having terrible negative thoughts when "White Flag" came out. I quit that job and am now working for a company who truly takes mental wellness into account. I was unemployed for five months due to a major move and the current pandemic and feeling lower than low when "Heavy is the Crown" came out. A month after that song was released, I obtained the job I have dreamed of having for eight years as a book editor. All I can say is, thank you, Chris Daughtry, for your inspirational and motivational lyrics. You and your band have gotten me through many hard times and I hope that your music touches so many more lives the way it has touched mine. God bless you all.
