At the young age of 17, Davi began producing electronic dance music inspired by many world-class producers and DJjs like Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo, Danny Howells and 16 Bit Lolitas. Shortly thereafter he was the resident at the top electronic dance club in Armenia where his career began to unfold.
With his move to Los Angeles in 2006, Davi dove right into the underground scene and locked himself in the studio for years to follow while playing at local Los Angeles clubs nights like Monday Night Social at Playhouse, Avalon, and Vanguard.
Davi’s countless hours in the studio opened many doors for him, first of which was remixing Robert Babiczs’ “Zero” anthem which was released on the new Treibstoff label at the time. Earning recognition from top DJs in the scene like John Digweed, Guy J, Nick Warren, and 16 Bit Lolitas; Davi began establishing a name for himself in the Los Angeles underground scene.
Shortly thereafter in 2010 Davi became a resident DJ for Insomniac Events in Los Angeles, where he established his residency at Exchange LA and began playing Insomniac Festivals including twice at Escape from Wonderland opening for Richie Hawtin’s Enter stage. Since Davi’s connection with Insomniac, he has been sharing the decks with some of the top producers and DJ’s of our time including John Digweed, Sasha, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Green Velvet, Art Department, James Zabiela and Hernan Cattaneo to name a few.
Davi’s name can be found on multiple labels today including Rebellion, Anjunadeep, Treibstoff, Hope Recordings, and Baroque. After having attended Burning Man for over six years, Davi collectively put all his Rebel heart inspiration in the studio to create his first Crosstown Rebels EP in 2013 called “Two Suns in the Sky.” This was a tremendous boost to Davi’s career, which led him to begin touring worldwide in 2014 having visited London, Amsterdam, Israel, New Caledonia, Canada and all over the United States including Miami, New York, Boston, and Las Vegas among others.

Quando me põe contra a parede e me beija assim
Acende aquele bem gostoso vem, passa pra mim
Quando me põe contra a parede e me beija assim (me põe contra a parede)
Acende aquele bem gostoso vem, passa pra mim (acende aquele)
Dá uma vontade (dá uma vontade, dá)
Dá uma vontade (ê, ê, ê)
Dá uma vontade
Dá uma vontade
Dá uma vontade
Dá uma vontade (é)
The lyrics to Davi's song "DUV" delve into the intense feelings and desires of a person who is consumed by thoughts of a romantic or physical connection with someone special. The opening lines speak of keeping one's desires and fantasies confined to the realm of the imagination, hinting at a longing for intimacy that is yet to be realized. The mention of being surrounded by people who are unaware of the singer's innermost thoughts suggests a sense of isolation or secrecy surrounding these desires.
The repetition of the phrase "Fica só no meu imaginário" (It stays only in my imagination) emphasizes the internal nature of these yearnings, hinting at a yearning that is unexpressed or unfulfilled. This internal struggle is juxtaposed with the vivid imagery of being "fico meio doido da cabeça pensando em você nu" (I go a little crazy thinking about you naked), highlighting the intensity of the singer's feelings and the visceral nature of their desires.
The second verse delves deeper into the anticipation and excitement of being with the object of affection, setting the scene for a romantic encounter with references to trembling with anticipation, opening wine, and creating a playlist to set the mood. The imagery of being put against a wall and passionately kissed adds a sense of urgency and physicality to the longing described in the lyrics.
The recurring refrain of "Dá uma vontade" (It makes me want) throughout the song conveys a sense of strong desire and longing that permeates the singer's thoughts and actions. The repetition of this phrase reinforces the intensity of the emotions being expressed and creates a sense of yearning and urgency that runs throughout the song. Overall, "DUV" captures the intoxicating mix of desire, longing, and anticipation that comes with being infatuated with someone and the overwhelming emotions that can accompany such intense feelings.
