Y ¿Si Fuera Ella?
David Bisbal Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Y, aunque a veces no me importe
Nombre diferente y otro cuerpo
Y va quemando, va quemándome y me quema
Ella, quien me dice ciega ella
No, no
The lyrics of David Bisbal's song "Y Si Fuera Ella" (And If It Were Her) tell the story of a man who is deeply in love with a woman who is unpredictable and sometimes emotionally unavailable. He's aware that he might suffer if he loses her, but he still can't help but feel drawn to her. She's both his rival and his companion, his darkness and his star. She tangles his soul and leaves him hanging. She's always with him but he doesn't know where she's going. She is somebody that he often thinks about, and in a moment of confusion, he might even call out her name but he knows that he will lose her and find her again, but in different forms. The uncertainty in his love life engulfs him as he contemplates the possibilities of what might be, wondering if she really is "the one."
Throughout the song, Bisbal paints a picture of a complex and difficult relationship filled with ups and downs, contradictions, and misunderstandings. He feels like the woman he loves is playing games with him, and even though he tries to move on, he finds himself constantly drawn back to her. The song's chorus is particularly poignant as he asks himself, "And If It Were Her?". It's a question that every person in love asks themselves at some point in their life when their relationship seems difficult to navigate. This song explores the complexities of love and loss, the fear of missing out on the one you love, and the hope of finding a happy ending.
