O Tu O Nada

no por favor no digas nada
yo lo se todo ya lo ves
cierra la puerta y calla
que coincidencia estar alli
cerrando el paso de una lagrima
era evidente eras feliz
y yo me tube lastima
mi gran amor
mi niña mimada
date la vuelta y oyeme
o tu o nada
amor no sabes que hora es
no por favor no digas nada
yo lo se todo ya lo ves
cierra la puerta y calla
quizas la culpa ha sido mia
por no leer en tu mirada
dicen que la noche esta muy fria
no quiero que te vayas
amada mia adultera
mi gran amor
mi niña mimada
date la vuelta y oyeme
o tu o nada
amada mia adultera
mi gran amor
mi niña mimada
date la vuelta y oyeme
o tu o nada
date la vuelta y oyeme
oyeme o tu o nada
In David Bustamante's "O tu o nada," the singer addresses a lover who is unaware of the time and requests that they remain silent. The singer knows everything and is hurt to see the lover with happiness when they have been deceived. As the lover closes a tear, it is clear that the singer is not just a fling, but in fact an affair. The singer asks the lover to turn around and listen; there is only a choice between staying together or breaking up entirely.
The singer reflects on their own responsibility for the situation, as they may have missed the signs in the lover's eyes. However, they do not want the lover to leave and urges them to choose between being together or nothing at all. Though there is a sense of betrayal and sadness in the song, it is also a sort of ultimatum for the lover to decide how they will move forward in the relationship.
Overall, "O tu o nada" portrays the complex emotions of infidelity and offers a candid view into what it feels like to be in a relationship that has strayed. The song offers a sense of resigned sorrow at the betrayal, while also reflecting the power dynamic that can arise in relationships.
