Come to me
David Haas Lyrics

Seek and you shall find
Knock - it shall be opened
The goodness of the Lord.
For the one who asks, receives
The one who seeks shall find
The one who knocks will enter
And see the face of God.
Come to me all who weary
I will refresh you
Learn from me
My yoke is easy, my burden light.
They neither sow nor reap
And still our God cares for them
Will not the Lord care for you.
See the lilies in the field
They do not work or sleep
If they are clothed in splendor
God will provide for you.
Come to me all who weary
I will refresh you
Learn from me
My yoke is easy, my burden light.
3.Do not worry about your life
What to eat or wear
Is not your life for greater things
Is not your life for the Lord?
Seek the One who knows your need
And all things will be yours
Worry not of tomorrow
Let tomorrow find its way.
Come to me all who weary
I will refresh you
Learn from me
My yoke is easy, my burden light.
David Haas's song Come to Me is a powerful message of hope, reminding us that we are never alone and that God is always there for us. The lyrics of the song are based on the gospel of Matthew, where Jesus tells his disciples to ask, seek, and knock in order to receive the goodness of the Lord. The first part of the song deals with this message, emphasizing that those who ask, seek, and knock will be received with open arms and will see the face of God. This message is meant to remind us that we should never be afraid to ask for help or guidance in our lives.
The second part of the song is a call to those who are weary and burdened, asking them to come to Jesus for refreshment and to learn from him. The lyrics encourage us to take his yoke upon ourselves, as it is easy and his burden is light. This message is meant to remind us that we should always turn to Jesus for guidance and strength when we are feeling overwhelmed by the challenges of life.
The final part of the song is a reassurance that we should not worry about our lives, as God will provide for us just like he provides for the lilies in the field. We should seek the One who knows our needs, and all things will be given to us. This message is a reminder that we should have faith in God's plan for our lives and not fear the uncertainties of the future.
Overall, the lyrics of Come to Me are a message of hope and comfort, encouraging us to turn to God in times of need and rely on his strength and guidance.
