I know a song
I know a, know a s, know a s, know a song
I know a song
I know a, know a s, know a s, know a song
To sing,
On this dark night.
On this dark, dark, dark, dark, dark night
On this dark night.
On this dark, dark, dark, dark, dark night

It's the song
Of love.
It's the song
Of love.
It's the song
Of love.

I know a song
I know a, know a s, know a s, know a song
I know a song
I know a, know a s, know a s, know a song
To sing.
On this dark night
On this dark, dark, dark, dark, dark night
On this dark night
On this dark, dark, dark, dark, dark night

It's the song
Of love.
It's the song
Of love.

It's the song
Of love.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to David Lynch's song Noah's Ark are fairly simple and repetitive, but they have a haunting quality that suggests deeper meaning. The singer says that they know a song, and repeats that phrase several times, adding emphasis each time. They then say that this song is for singing on a dark night, which implies that it's meant to provide comfort or solace in a time of darkness. The singer then repeats that the song is "of love" multiple times.

At first glance, it might seem like this song is a bit vague or generic, but Lynch is known for his abstract and surreal imagery, and these lyrics fit right in with that aesthetic. The song could be interpreted in many ways - perhaps it's a love song to someone who has been lost or who is far away, or maybe it's a broader expression of love for humanity or the world as a whole. The repetition of the phrase "I know a song" could also be interpreted as a sort of mantra, meant to focus the mind and provide a sense of grounding in difficult times.

Another interesting aspect of this song is the use of repetition. Lynch is a master of using repetition to create a sense of unease or disorientation, and in this song it's clear that the repetition is intentional and meant to enhance the dreamlike quality of the lyrics. Additionally, the fact that the song is called "Noah's Ark" could be a reference to the Biblical story of the flood, which has been interpreted in many ways over the years, but often represents a sort of rebirth or renewal.

Overall, the lyrics to David Lynch's "Noah's Ark" are sparse but evocative, and leave a lot of room for interpretation. The repetition, focus on love, and surreal imagery all contribute to the song's haunting quality and make it a fitting addition to Lynch's body of work.

A great track to change the reality sound, for the cold and dark emptiness of dawn.

I imagine myself in my home made spaceship, just big enough for me and my dog.
We're going out for a spin for the very first time. We're leaving earth and just passed the strathosphere when suddenly 'Noah's Ark' comes out of the 4,5W speakers and fills our tiny cockpit.
The sky already turned from cobalt blue to black, we can clearly see the stars. They look closer now, I guess my watering eyes have something to do with.
03:50 minutes have passed, I watch the fuel meter and realize I forgot to fill up the fuel tank to the max, we nearly run out of liquid already. There's not enough to return to earth in one piece, let alone getting there alive. The only option left is to go on and reach zero gravity. I look at my dog, his brown eyes full of longing as never before. And we both agree this is it and we don't give a fuck.
