One Thing Remains
David Wesley Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Higher than the moutains that I face,
Stronger than the power of the Grave,
Constant in the trial and the change,
One thing remains,
Higher than the moutains that I face,
Stronger than the power of the Grave,
Constant in the trial and the change,
One thing remains,
One thing remains,
Your love never fails it never gives up it never runs out on me,
Your love never fails it never gives up it never runs out on me,
Your love never fails it never gives up it never runs out on me,
Your love...
ohhhhh
On and on and on and on it goes,
It overwhelms and satsifies my soul,
And I never ever have to be afraid,
Cuz One thing remains,
One thing remains,
Your love never fails it never gives up it never runs out on me,
Your love never fails it never gives up it never runs out on me,
Your love never fails it never gives up it never runs out on me,

Your love...
ohhhhh

When you performed this song at the Living Hope Church in Peterborough ON, you touch my Dad's heart.  Dad passed away yesterday.  During his final days here on earth my niece played this song through her phone.  Although Dad at that point was basically unresponsive while hearing this song his hands would move.  Thank-you for helping make my fathers passing much easier on him and all of us.  God Bless!

So sorry for your Dad. But he is in better place right now and someday you will see him.

My aunt is on her deathbed an fading away. This song reminds me she will rise again to the voice of God. His love never fails.

@Thomas Dillon Praise God and Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord, for the sure and certain hope of the resurrection. O Death, where is thy victory? O Grave, where is thy sting?
