Dead Letter Circus Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
To feel its hold growing everyday.
I've grown stronger and I can feel a change
So I pull the fear and doubt so I can't breathe.
And I say weakness is a self constructive mind.
I say strength is a self constructive mind.
Both things, equalled, seem to neutralise and remain still.
The balance broken there's momentum gained.
I've grown stronger, I can feel a change
So pull the fear and doubt so I can't breathe.
And I say weakness is a self constructive mind.
I say strength is a self constructive mind.
Both things, equalled, seem to neutralise and remain...
Don't lay down, and stay low.
Don't lay down, you'll be running from...
Give yourself no warning, there's fear in understanding.
So give yourself no warning, there's fear in understanding.
So give yourself no warning this time.
This time...
I'm gonna re-decide my fate when the feelings over,
Step back and analyse my ways when the feelings over.
I'm gonna re-decide my fate when the feelings over,
Step back and analyse my ways when the feelings over.
I'm gonna re-decide my fate when the feelings over,
Step back and analyse my ways when the feelings over.
It's turning into sound,
Keeping me from ground...
Would you take a life?
Or create the life?
Would you take a life?
I've grown stronger, faster, harder, wiser,
Stronger, faster, harder, wiser,
Stronger, faster, harder, wiser, wiser, yeah.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, oh!
The lyrics of "Tremors" by Dead Letter Circus are about personal growth and overcoming fear and doubts to achieve personal strength. The song highlights the idea that weakness is a self-constructed state of mind and that strength can also be self-constructed, and when both are equal, they neutralize and remain still. The singer is hesitant with each step forward, but as they grow stronger, they feel a change and pull the fear and doubt to make it go away. They advise against laying down and staying low, but instead, one should give oneself no warning and understand that there is fear in understanding.
In the chorus, the singer repeats that they will re-decide their fate and analyze their ways when the feelings are over. The last verse is about choices and whether one would take a life or create one. The song concludes with the repetition of the line "I've grown stronger, faster, harder, wiser" to emphasize the personal growth achieved through overcoming fear and doubt.
