Dead Letter Circus Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I'm trying to find a way,
so I can keep on searchin' for my own space.
Hoping to see the signs,
I see you there, you there standin'.
Holding an open door,
wish I could walk on past it, I want more.
Hoping to see the right way.
Saying something so I know where the end is.
with or without this, feels like it's all just a game.
You're standing where I see a solution, you are the problem.
Should I go or stay?

Trying to find a way,
So I can move my heart,
and walk past open doors.

Saying something so I know where the end is.
With or without the effect of a casualty.
You're standing where I see a solution, am I the problem?
Should I go or stay?

Yes I'm trying to find a way,
so I can keep on searching for my own space.
Hoping to see the signs,
I see you there, you there standin'.
Holding an open door,
wish I could walk on past it, I want more.
Hoping to see the signs,
hoping to feel the right way.

This time I swear, I'm gonna speak my mind,
I would hold it, I could just pretend.
This time I swear, I'm gonna speak my mind,
I would hold it, I could just pretend.
This time I swear, I'm gonna speak my mind.
I just wanna speak my mind.
I just wanna speak my, mind.

Trying to find a way,
so I can keep on searching for my own space.
Hoping to see the signs,
I see you there standin', was it(?) worth standing?
I see too many open doors.
Wish I could walk on past it, but I want more.
Hoping to see the right way.

Wanting to find the way.

'Cause I'm trying to find my way.

I expected a Sumerian metal sound by the look of the album art work, like a Circle of Contempt sound to be more specific... but man, these guys really blew my mind. Love the cleans!

Such a talented band, they will go really far. I feel it !

Is that so? The Discovery has an amazing concept image that clearly reflects Born of Osiris' sound and lyric content. Is this dude Cameron Gray as young as the band members? I still can't get over the fact that they're pretty young for the quality and ideas they come up with. They've progressed in so many ways (and shapes) since The New Reign. I've been recently getting into Periphery, you can tell Spencer stepped it up from their first album. I've always loved After the Burial, haha.

Cameron Gray did the artwork for this album and the concept art for their "Big" music video. He's the one who did the artwork for the Circle of Contempt album and Born of Osiris's last album. Amazing artist, and it is kinda surprising how much work he does for bands on Sumerian... But yeah, I love this band too, even though my faves are in the style of BoO, AtB, and Periphery

This is the equivalent of Hands like Houses on RISE records.  Nothing like the rest.  In all the best ways.  Love this song.
