Rock Me
Deborah Allen Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴

He's gonna rock me
Momma, don't you cry anymore
I'm not the same girl I was before
But, you know I'll always be your baby
But I've found some brand new arms
And they're gonna rock me

Momma, can't you see my world is turnin'?
I've got to live these things that I'm learnin'
You don't have to try and save me
I'm wrapped up in a dream
But he's gonna rock me

All night long, he lays where heaven lies
He takes me on a way to paradise
And he rocks me in the cradle of love

Momma, don't you remember how it feels?

Oh, don't you remember?
My heart and my soul is rollin' like a wheel

They don't make country music like this anymore!

I will never understand why Deborah didn’t become more popular. She was perfect for marketing....beautiful and sooo talented.

@Terk131

Great voice too but the market was just waking up to female artists and the industry is soo cutthroat so if your not an executives favorite your done. Notice how the very successful women in country music married Producers or executives? Sad how much talent was actually present shelved. But Deborah did make 12 albums charting 14 songs BUT wrote #1 hits for Tayna Tucker, John Conlee, Patty Lovless, Janie Fricke and The Whites so her career was plentiful.

Deborah never needed a microphone to sing. She has that natural ability to belt out a song. And she's incredibly GORGEOUS.
