Now, with a contrabass and a cello adding the vital atmosphere and depth, and with drums enriching the music with a concise rhythm, Deep Trip are ready to take on the whole world of music, that is if the world is ready for them. After all, playing rock music on classical instruments is at least just as unconventional as it is effective. Luckily though, Deep Trip aren’t ones to be deterred so easily by mere conventions. Instead of treading their own path, they are laying a new one. While the band replaces electric guitars with an acoustic one and the mandatory bass guitar with a contrabass, they still shatter every spark of doubt about how much this band rocks and that with ease.
Reflecting the spirit of their music, the lyrics are exclusively rebellious. Political statements and situations torn out of life itself are presented in poetic metaphors, which perfectly mirror the soul of Deep Trip. The band sings of the hardships of life as well as the unfairness of the world we are living in today. Next to being catchy, the words of the songs can give anyone who doesn’t only open his ears, but also his heart, something to think about.
The true passion of this band, however, reveals itself on stage. Emotional and energetic performances are but two of the trademarks that make them an unforgettable live experience. It is hard to tell if the enthusiasm shines brighter on the faces of the young musicians which visibly love what they are doing, or those of the audience won’t forget the show for a long time. The band has gathered a lot of live experience since they first started and the result is that their shows are always solid and unique. So if you are planning to see them, be prepared for one really deep trip.
Dreamer
Deep Trip Lyrics

seems far from me.
I'm living so deep
in my dream.
How many times,
how many days
I've come to see
that I could believe
It's a beautiful day
but I'm falling in tears
back to old fears.
Then I'm bleeding for real.
Everyday for you
this life is unfair.
Call me a dreamer
Cause i feel free deep inside my heart.
I still believe in love and in my way. (2x)
Where is the sense,
that we've destroyed,
I ask myself.
It's pretty unclear.
But it's over.
I lost my soul.
A living ghost,
but I walk this road.
I'm a lonely man
getting stronger.
It's a beautiful day
but I'm falling in tears
back to old fears.
Then I'm bleeding for real.
Everyday for you
this life is unfair.
Call me a dreamer
Cause i feel free deep inside my heart.
I still believe in love and in my way. (2x)
This life is unfair!
Call me a dreamer
Cause i feel free deep inside my heart.
I still believe in love and in my way. (2x)
In Deep Trip's song "Dreamer," the lyrics describe the struggle of the singer as they try to pursue their dreams while facing obstacles and setbacks. The road they want to take seems distant and unattainable, and they are living so deeply in their dreams that the real world brings tears and old fears. Yet, despite these difficulties, the singer believes in their way and in love, and continues to walk this road, even as they feel like a living ghost.
The lyrics also touch on the sense of loss and uncertainty that the singer feels. They ask themselves where the sense is in the destruction around them, and feel like they have lost their soul. Despite this, they remain a lonely, but stronger, person, still holding onto their dreams and believing in their own path.
The repeated refrain of "Call me a dreamer / Cause I feel free deep inside my heart / I still believe in love and in my way" highlights the central theme of the song - that despite the hardships and setbacks, the singer remains committed to their dreams and believes that love and self-belief can overcome even the most unfair aspects of life.
