Demon Hunter Lyrics

And in my blood a bitter darkness slowly taking it's toll
I feel the death of our connection and the fading of light
Between the shards of sudden panic from choking on my life
I see the scars of your addiction and the feeling you hide
A blackened heart from all the hatred you will never rewind
Within the depths of your depression hear you pleading for help
I can't breathe alone
You can guide me home.
I am the face of your affliction.
Feeding new life through the cracks in your skull.
Beneath the skin of your aggression is a thickening fear
A swelling plague from every devastating voice that you hear
You feel the throes of contradiction in the world that you left
Another day in your delusion, the never-ending death.
I can't breathe alone
You can guide me home
I can feel you here
You can draw me near
I am the face of your affliction.
Feeding new life through the cracks in your skull.
I am the pain of your conviction
Stabbing you right through the back of your soul.
This is life, this is love
I am the face of your affliction.
Feeding new life through the cracks in your skull.
I am the pain of your conviction
Stabbing you right through the back of your soul.
I can feel you here
You can draw me near.
The lyrics of Demon Hunter's song "Annihilate The Corrupt" depict the struggles of a person who is suffering from a deep sense of pain, darkness, and isolation. The singer of the song tries to reach out for help, while at the same time acknowledging the suffering of others and the deep interconnectedness of all things. The themes of addiction, depression, fear, and contradiction are all explored throughout the song in a powerful and emotional way.
The first verse of the song speaks of the singer's own suffering and the growing darkness that is taking over their soul. They can feel the connection between themselves and others slipping away, and are overwhelmed with a sense of panic and suffocation. In the second verse, the singer speaks of the scars of addiction and the deep pain that is hidden beneath the surface of those who are struggling. They can hear the cries for help from others, and in them, see a reflection of their own struggles.
The chorus of the song is a plea for help and guidance, with the singer acknowledging that they cannot face their struggles alone. They need the support and guidance of others to help them find their way home. The bridge of the song is a powerful declaration of the singer's own identity and the impact they have on the world around them. They are the face of affliction and pain, but they are also the source of new life and hope.
