In early 2000, both Roberson and Luckett were replaced with Williams and Farrah Franklin; however, Franklin quit after five months, leaving the group as a trio. Their third album, Survivor (2001), whose themes the public interpreted as a channel to the group's experience, produced the worldwide hits "Independent Women", "Survivor" and "Bootylicious. In 2001, they announced a hiatus to pursue solo careers. The trio reunited three years later for the release of their fifth and final studio album, Destiny Fulfilled (2004), which spawned the international hits "Lose My Breath" and "Soldier (feat. T.I. & Lil' Wayne)". Since the group's official disbandment in 2006, Knowles, Rowland and Williams have reunited several times, including at the 2013 Super Bowl halftime show and 2018 Coachella festival.
Destiny's Child has sold more than sixty million records worldwide to date. Billboard ranks the group as one of the greatest musical trios of all time, the ninth most successful artist/band of the 2000s, placed the group 68th in its All-Time Hot 100 Artists list in 2008 and in December 2016, the magazine ranked them as the 90th most successful dance club artist of all time. The group was nominated for 14 Grammy Awards, winning twice for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals and once for Best R&B Song.
Do You Hear What I Hear?

Said the night wind to the little lamb
Do you see what I see
Way up in the sky, little lamb
Do you see what I see
A star, a star, dancing in the night
With a tail as big as a kite
Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy
Do you hear what I hear
Ringing through the sky, shepherd boy
Do you hear what I hear
A song, a song, high above the trees
With a voice as big as the sea
With a voice as big as the sea, ye
Everyone, come together
Pray together, stay together
Celebrate the coming of the king
All my sisters and all my brothers
Come together, love one another
Join me now, lift every voice and sing
Said the shepherd boy to the mighty king
Do you know what I know
In your palace warm, mighty king
Do you know what I know
A Child, a Child shivers in the cold
Let us bring him silver and gold
Let us bring him silver and gold
The Child, the Child, sleeping in the night
He will bring us goodness and light
He will bring us goodness and light
Everybody, come together
Pray together, stay together
Everybody, come together
Stay together, celebrate together
Everybody, come together
Pray together, stay together
Everybody, come together
Stay together, celebrate together
Everybody, come together
Pray together, stay together
Everybody, come together
Stay together, celebrate together
Everybody, come together
Pray together, stay together
Everybody, come together
Stay together, celebrate together
The song "Do You Know" by Destiny's Child has a religious tone, as it discusses the coming of the king and the birth of a child who will bring goodness and light. The lyrics ask if we can hear and see what is happening in the world around us, particularly the signs of the birth of the king. The first verse is a conversation between the night wind and a little lamb asking if it can see the star in the sky with its big tail. The second verse is a conversation between the little lamb and a shepherd boy, asking if he can hear the song coming from above the trees.
The chorus of the song encourages everyone to come together, pray together, and celebrate together in the coming of the king. It speaks to the idea of unity and love, as all brothers and sisters should come together and lift their voices in song. The third verse is a conversation between the shepherd boy and the mighty king, asking if he knows about the child who is shivering in the cold. They suggest bringing him silver and gold as a gift. This verse alludes to the birth of Jesus and the wise men bringing gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
Overall, "Do You Know" is a beautiful, contemplative song that encourages us to pause and appreciate the world around us, particularly the religious significance of the birth of the king.
