Symbol of Eternity
Diablo Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
You can take me back to the place
Where I could watch the sky
And see those signs!
You can show me their lies,
Show me the disbelief in their words
Oh, these burning times!
And now, I can choose my fate
Within my heart I will seal the symbol of eternity!
You can take me back to the time
Where I could stand so proud
With my mind open wide
You can wash away all those lies,
The burning rain which blinds my eyes
Curses my way!
And now, I can choose my fate
Within my heart I will seal the symbol of eternity!
You can take me back to the dimension,
To the state of mind
Where I could be myself again!
You can clear my mind,
You can clear my thoughts
You can take away
All these fears from my soul!
And now, I can choose my fate
Within my heart I will seal the symbol of eternity!
I'll open my heart and turn my head against the northern wind
I will listen to the call, call of the eternity!
In this song, Diablo talks about a desire to be taken back to a time where they could watch the sky and see the signs. This may refer to a time where they felt more connected to the universe and could decipher the messages it was sending. The lyrics later talk about being able to stand proud with an open mind and washing away lies and curses. This may suggest that the singer has been through a difficult time where they were manipulated or deceived, but now they are ready to choose their own fate and seal the symbol of eternity within their heart.
The final verse talks about going back to a state of mind where the singer can be themselves again and have their fears taken away. They want to open their heart and listen to the call of eternity, which may refer to a search for a greater meaning or purpose in life. Overall, the song seems to be about gaining clarity, strength, and a sense of self-determination.
