Besame
Quiero
Besame
These lyrics from Diana Krall's song Besame Mucho describe the intense desire to be with someone and the fear of losing them. The phrase "besame mucho" translates to "kiss me a lot", and the repetition of this line emphasizes the longing for physical intimacy. The line "como si fuera esta noche la última vez" means "as if it were tonight the last time", conveying a sense of urgency and appreciation for the present moment.
The next line "que tengo miedo a perderte, perderte despues" translates to "I'm afraid of losing you, losing you later", revealing the underlying fear of abandonment and the awareness of the impermanence of relationships. The stanza ends with the repetition of "besame", which becomes a plea for reassurance and a symbol of the emotional connection between two people.
The following stanza highlights the desire for intimacy and connection, as the singer wants to feel close to their partner and look into their eyes. However, the line "piensa que tal vez mańana yo ya estare lejos, muy lejos de ti" (think that maybe tomorrow I will already be far away from you) shows that this intense desire is tempered by the possibility of separation and loss.
Overall, these lyrics capture the bittersweet nature of love and the desire for connection and reassurance amidst the fear of loss and separation.
