This was a very special movie, a movie about dreams, a second chance.
Ray’s dream was to reconcile with his father and play catch again with him.
Ray’s father John’s dream was to be a star baseball player.
Terrence Mann’s dream was to write a story that people would love.
Moonlight Graham’s dream was to get a turn at bat.
Shoeless joe Jackson and his teammates the Black Sox’s dream was to have a chance to play again.
In the end, Ray gets his dream, by reconciling with his dad and plays catch with him again.
John gets his dream, by playing catcher with professional baseball players.
Terrence gets his dream, by being invited into the cornfield to get his story he always wanted.
Moonlight gets his dream, by having a turn at bat.
Shoeless joe and the Black Sox got their dream, by playing baseball again.
Such a great movie.

Never seen this movie. Tonight's White Sox vs Yankees game makes me want to give this a watch. Thanks baseball.

I know it's been a few months, but I hope you've seen this film by now. I watch it several times a month and never get tired of it. Simply one of the best movies of all time. Kevin Costner got it right when he said about it "you didn't have a fist fight or car crash at the end, you just had a dad and his son playing catch and that's what made that movie an enduring classic."

Definitely give it a watch. It's a fantastic movie!

You’re gonna love it! It’s one of those American past time movie classics like forest gump!

Same here. Never seen it either but now I'm intrigued because of this White Sox Yankees baseball game. I'm definitely going to watch it tonight.

I watch this movie I don't know how many times every month. It's what got me into baseball. The game they had last summer made me invested in baseball. I dearly love and revere this movie and it has a special place in my family's heart. My dad and I got matching Anderson White Sox jerseys based off of the ones from the game for Christmas and I got my dad his own glove. He hadn't owned his own glove since he was a kid. We went outside in our jerseys (unfortunately it was a warm Christmas in NC) and played catch. When he caught the first throw from me, I couldn't help but notice him pause. He and I had watched the movie together a few weeks before and it got him thinking about his own dad. This October, we're gonna go see the Field for ourselves and I can't wait to have a catch with my dad on the Field of Dreams!
