Be Our Guest

Be our guest
Put our service to the test
Tie your napkin round your neck, cherie
And we provide the rest
Soupe du jour, hot hors d'oeuvres
Why, we only live to serve
Try the grey stuff, it's delicious
They can sing
They can dance
After all, miss, this is France
And a dinner here is never second best
Go on, unfold your menu
Take a glance and then
You'll be our guest
Oui, our guest
Be our guest
Beef ragout, cheese souffle
Pie and pudding en flambe
We'll prepare and serve with flair
A culinary cabaret
You're alone
And you're scared
But the banquet's all prepared
No one's gloomy or complaining
While the flatware's entertaining
We tell jokes
I do tricks
With my fellow candlesticks
And it's all in perfect taste, that you can bet
Come on and lift your glass
You've won your own free pass
To be our guest
If you're stressed
It's fine dining we suggest
Be our guest
Be our guest
Be our guest
Life is so unnerving
For a servant who's not serving
He's not whole without a soul to wait upon
Ah, those good old days when we were useful
Suddenly, those good old days are gone
Ten years we've been rusting, needing so much more than dusting
Needing exercise, a chance to use our skills
Most days we just lay around the castle
Flabby, fat and lazy
You walked in and oops-a-daisy!
It's a guest, it's a guest!
Sakes alive, well, I'll be blessed
Wine's been poured, and thank the lord
I've had the napkins freshly pressed
With dessert, she'll want tea
And, my dear, that's fine with me
While the cups do their soft-shoeing
I'll be bubbling, I'll be brewing
I'll get warn, piping hot
Heaven's sake, is that a spot?
Clean it up, we want the company impressed
We've got a lot to do
Is it one lump or two?
For you, our guest
She's our guest (She's our guest)
She's our guest
Be our guest
Be our guest
Put our service to the test
It's ten years since we've had anybody here
And we're obsessed
With your meal, with your ease
Yes, indeed, we aim to please
While the candlelight's still glowing
Let us help you, we'll keep going
Course by course
One by one
Till you shout, "Enough, I'm done!"
Then we'll sing you off to sleep as you digest
Tonight you'll prop your feet up
But for now, let's eat up
Be our guest
Be our guest
Be our guest
Please be our guest
The song "Be Our Guest" is from Disney's animated movie "Beauty and the Beast". The lyrics describe the hospitality and service provided by the enchanted servants of the Beast's castle to Belle, the guest. The hosts welcome Belle to their castle and make her feel at home. They serve her with delicacies and perform entertaining acts to keep Belle pleased. The song also signifies the longing of the servants to serve their guests and to restore their former lives as human beings. They express their delight and enthusiasm at the opportunity to serve the guest and bring delight into her life. The lyrics also give a subtle message that hospitality and caring for the guest's needs are important traits that every service provider should possess.

We had a "magical" moment at this restaurant years ago. We did not have a reservation but we noticed that on one of the cast members name tags that she was from our hometown. We struck up a conversation with her and talk about a "small world" she used to live on the same street that we currently lived on. She asked if we had reservations and I stated that we were disappointed but we didn't. She asked us to wait a moment and she brought these magical passes out to us and we got to go in for lunch. Definitely a pixie dust moment!

This is hands down the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. The food was bland and unappetizing. The atmosphere was loud and cafeteria like. The Beast barely sprints through a couple times. You couldn’t pay me to go back. Huge waste of time and money.

I went on March 1. It wasn't as good as before, but it was way better than Crystal Palace which was absolutely awful.

I had lunch there in November 2019, but I felt the same about the food and atmosphere. I love "Beauty and the Beast: , but the food and atmosphere were definitely not worth the money. I've had better food at Crystal Palace, Pinnochio's Village Haus, and Pecos Bill!

Same, my husband refuses to set foot there ever again

I wish they had done a ride like the one in the Asia park something everyone can experience. It’s annoying to pay so much money for a park tickets and not be able to get inside beast castle unless you make a reservation months ahead.

I would love to ride the Enchanted Tales of Beauty and the Beast from Tokyo! They could have just added a restaurant next door or something...

After watching your recent videos, I’ve decided to spend my next Orlando vacation at a Universal hotel and parks. I’ve had enough of Bob Paycheck’s Disney.

My mom and I went to Be our Guest in October of 2020 and it was this pricing and layout but the butter that came with the rolls was Mickey shaped. And the dessert was in the shape of Chip with white chocolate and that was filled with the gray stuff. Those little details were something special and elevated the service to us. Sad to see those gone.
