shout
Disturbed Lyrics

These are the things I can do without
Come on I'm talking to you come on
Shout shout let it all out
These are the things I can do without
Come on I'm talking to you come on
In violent times you shouldn't have to sell your soul
Those one track minds that took you for a working boy
Kiss them goodbye you shouldn't have to jump for joy
You shouldn't have to jump for joy, you shouldn't have to shout for joy
Shout, shout, let it all out
These are the things I can do without
Come one, I'm talking to you, come on
They gave you life
And in return you gave them hell
As cold as ice
I hope we live to tell the tale
I hope we live to tell the tale
Shout, shout, let it all out
These are the things I can do without
Come on, I'm talking to you, come on
Will you never shout
I feel as though you're never gonna let it all out
Will you never shout'
I feel as though I know
you're never gonna let it all out
Will you never shout'
I feel as though I know you're never gonna let it
And when you've taken down your guard
If I could change your mind
I'd really love to break your heart
I'd really love to break your heart
I'd really love to
Shout, shout, let it all out
These are the things I can do without
Come on, I'm talking to you, come on
I'd really love to
Shout, shout, let it all out
These are the things I can do without
Come on, I'm talking to you, come on
The song "Shout" by Disturbed is a powerful message about speaking out against oppression and fighting for what is right. The lyrics encourage listeners to let out their frustrations and speak up against the things they cannot tolerate. The repeated refrain of "Shout, shout, let it all out" and "these are the things I can do without" conveys the idea that not everything should be accepted and that it is important to take a stand.
The lyrics also touch on the concept of selling one's soul – in violent times, people are often forced to compromise their values in order to survive. However, the song urges listeners not to succumb to this pressure and to instead stand their ground. The final verse of the song suggests that if we can let down our guard and change our minds, we can have a chance at making a real difference.
Overall, "Shout" is a powerful anthem about standing up for what you believe in and not staying silent in the face of oppression.

Whenever Disturbed covers a song they always do it justice 💪
SND
What a shame that they can do only covers...😆
nick4leader
@SND You're kidding right?? Sure they may not be as popular as they were in the early 2000's but they still have plenty of their own hits

@SNDYes I love Disturb's cover of Down with the Sickness and Show You the Light - oh right
Steve Edmondson
This is the reason I love Disturbed. They're not afraid to cover groups that influenced them, no matter the genre

I feel like this version gives a very different feel to the lyrics, and as someone who loved the original version (but isn't 13 anymore) I actually really love this one. It encompasses the rage we feel, no matter why we feel it. I would love to meet the band at some point, just to talk about their choices.

I hear ya. I wouldn't mind talking to David Draiman. I've seen some interviews with him and he certainly comes off as a sincere, humble, thoughtful and classy person who respects music 🌟
