I Wouldn't Want To Life If You Didn't Love Me
Don Williams Lyrics

Sometimes you may think I take you for granted
And granted, sometimes maybe I do
'Cause I've grown so used to you lying next to me
That I wouldn't want to live if you didn't love me

[Chorus]
No I wouldn't want to get up in the morning if you weren't there
To kiss me and start my day off right
And to be waiting when I get home with loving just for me
No I wouldn't want to live if you didn't love me

It's love that makes the world go round
And my love for you just grows with leaps and bounds
'Cause you know just what to do when the world has turned all blue
And I wouldn't want to live if you didn't love me

[For the hard of hearing].
The lyrics are:
Sometimes you may think I take you for granted;
and granted, sometimes maybe I do!
'Cause I've grown so used to you lying next to me,
that I wouldn't want to live if you didn't love me.

No I wouldn't want to get up in the morning if you weren't there ...
to kiss me and start my day off right;
and to be waiting when I get home with loving just for me.
No I wouldn't want to live if you didn't love me.

[Instrumental bridge].

It's love that makes the world go round,
and my love for you just grows with leaps and bounds;
'cause you know just what to do when the world has turned all blue,
and I wouldn't want to live if you didn't love me.

[Final chorus to finale]
No I wouldn't want to get up in the morning if you weren't there ...
to kiss me and start my day off right;
and to be waiting when I get home with loving just for me.
No I wouldn't want to live if you didn't love me.

I LOVE this song, and have known it for a LONG time over 40 years lol. This song is not negative as it may seem at first hearing, but shows great love and respect for and appreciating one's spouse, being just so uplifting and soothing with Don's smooth voice. This song has a mesmerizing "clippity-clop" rhythm that sticks in one's mind that reminds me of a horse walking lol. Thank you, John Sandiford, for uploading this to our pleasure.

I have been a Don Williams fan for more than sixty years. His gentle and laid back style soothes my soul. Thankfully we have CDs so he will never be forgotten. He was a class act that we will not see again. RIP.

My father dedicated this to my mother when it came out. He's been gone two years and she still talks about it. It hurts but thanks Don.
