1)The Dream Warriors … Read Full Bio ↴There are two artists known as Dream Warriors:
1)The Dream Warriors are King Lou and Capital Q (aka The Quiet Storm), a pair of Toronto, Canada-based alternative rappers.
2) A metal band from Honduras.
1) They formed in 1988 and released the jazz rap LP And Now, the Legacy Begins in 1991, which was critically acclaimed and sold well in Canada and the United Kingdom. The album spawned the hit single "My Definition of a Boombastic Jazz Style", which featured a prominent sample of Soul Bossa Nova by Quincy Jones which originally appeared on his 1962 LP Big Band Bossa Nova and was also the theme music to the Canadian game show Definition.
The 1994 follow-up, Subliminal Simulation, received mixed reviews, and has since been forgotten by some and named a cult favourite by others; it featured guest vocals by Ishmael Butler of Digable Planets (on the track "Tricycles and Kittens"), and Guru and DJ Premier contributed to two different versions of the song called "I've Lost My Ignorance (and Don't Know Where To Find It").
Their most recent album, 1997's The Master Plan, was poorly received and did not sell well, but they made an appearance in 1999 for The Herbaliser on the track "Road of Many Signs."

Dream Warriors Lyrics

[Chorus]
I've lost my ignroance and don't know where to find it
so I search (search) furiously
yet I search (search) furiously
stop this and lock this in your trophy case
cause this one is built for the whole human race
was INI the only one to experiment
was the noise I organized ignorant (no)
what is it then it must have been the pen
or the vibes I send or the time that I spend
thinking and sinking into the sink
don't try to swallow this because it's too much to drink
because
[Chorus]
but why do you search for ignorance (I don't)
you can be a dummy Mr. Will (I won't)
what is it that you seek then
soul in the hip
getto is the grip so the beat won't slip
or slide or do a dive into an ocean of lyrical audio
and here's a plate of video
I search and disperse so verse rehearsal is universal
like nova is nobel when I am flowing over ruffell and boulder
I admit my style and wit is a homicidal tool
I'm seeking knowledge like a student in school
[Chorus]
we don't know
we don't know
we don't
(repeat 7x)
I venture through darkness with power eclipse
soul for my guidance my conscence equipped
opens my thought my neighborhood compels me
the contract swells the head
I feed on my own so here we go into a cool down
the fool found a sound but there's not enough to go around
so we searchers and searchers we searches in ignorance
the outcome of distortion is the evidence
pre-dominant pre-dominance is how I stand
phenomenon one phenomenon two (come come)
I seek and I prosper my journey is endless
keen is my eye sight analyze
reality fantasy fantasize
[Chorus]
Dream Warriors' "I" is a song that explores the theme of seeking knowledge and enlightenment through hip-hop. The chorus speaks of how the singer has lost their ignorance and is now fervently searching for it, suggesting a desire to return to a time of innocence and naivete. However, the verses also reveal a deeper desire for growth and understanding, as the artist seeks to expand their wisdom and knowledge of the world around them.
The first verse questions the idea that the artist was the only one to experiment with their music and lyrics, suggesting that there are many others who seek to push the boundaries of hip-hop and challenge the status quo. The second verse uses imagery of sinking into a sink and being unable to swallow too much to drink to illustrate the overwhelming nature of the artist's quest for knowledge.
The third verse speaks of the power of the artist's words and the impact they can have on the world around them. The singer compares themselves to a student seeking knowledge in school and acknowledges the potential danger of their words, referring to their style and wit as a "homicidal tool."
Overall, Dream Warriors' "I" is a song that speaks to the human desire for growth and understanding, while also acknowledging the challenges and risks associated with seeking knowledge and enlightenment.

@crazyman8472
I lie awake and dread the lonely nights
I'm not alone
I wonder if these heavy eyes
Can face the unknown
When I close my eyes I realize
You'll come my way
I'm standing in the night alone
Forever together
We're the Dream Warriors
Don't wanna dream no more
We're the dream warriors
And maybe tonight
Maybe tonight you'll be gone
I feel the touch comin' over me
I can't explain
I hear the voices callin' out
Callin' my name
It's the same desire to feel the fire
That's comin' your way
I'm standing in the night alone
Forever together
We're the dream warriors
Don't wanna dream no more
We're the dream warriors
Maybe tonight you'll be gone
We're the dream warriors
Ain't gonna dream no more
And maybe tonight
Maybe tonight you'll be gone
Sweet revenge, the bitter end
This time
Break the spell of illusion
Bound together waiting for you
Dream warriors
Don't wanna dream no more
We're the dream warriors
Maybe tonight you'll be gone
We're the dream warriors
Ain't gonna dream no more
We're the dream warriors
And maybe tonight
Maybe tonight you'll be gone
Dream warriors
Maybe tonight you'll be gone
Dream warriors, forever
Dream warriors
Maybe tonight you'll be gone
Dream warriors... 😴
