The band features many interchangeable members who have accomplished musical acclaim in other music related ventures. Dean Menta is the guitarist in Faith No More. Chris Dodge owns and operates Slap-A-Ham Records and is an alumni of both Fat Wreck Chords and Alternative Tentacles Records. Chris also plays in Spazz and Bjorn Baby Bjorn. Sean is a stoner. Shitty is the drummer in Pansy Division. Greg is the brother of the former manager of Alternative Tentacles Records. Smelly was in Plainfield. And Bubba used to manage Allied Records label. The list goes on and on!
The Unholy Handjob was produced by Paul Barker (Ministry, Revolting Cocks, Lard etc., etc.) in Austin, Texas and Dean Menta at Pink Pyramid Studios in San Francisco. After an extensive bidding war the band settled on Jello Biafra's Alternative Tentacles Records.
Although primarily spending time in foreign countries (where the kids like to rock), the band is famous for it's electrifying and controversial live shows. Duh has influenced hundreds of bands from Ministry to Sepultura, Alice Donut to the Didjits, Faith No More to Mr. Bungle, Cranberries to Pink Floyd and so on.

Spaghetti And Red Wine
Duh Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The last time I saw you
I saw you get sick
Like baby snakes shootin'
From your sweet lips
Sweet smile gone to now
It left when your stomach
Gubs went pow, pow, pow
Now every time I see you
I give you a taste
Just a little bit more don'tig
Let it go to waste
Churning the music
Can you feel the beat
Now open up girl and
Let it hit the streets
Spaghetti and red wine
Lookin' so fine
I kissed your lips 'cause
You said they were mine
Spaghetti and red wine
Lookin' so fine
I'll whip you off if
Again you'll be mine
The lyrics of Duh's song Spaghetti and Red Wine seem to be describing a bittersweet encounter with someone the singer has not seen in a long time. The first lines of the song allude to the last encounter with this person, during which they got sick and threw up something that looked like baby snakes, most likely a reference to spaghetti. This sets a tone of fluctuating emotions throughout the song.
The lyrics then express the singer's disappointment in seeing the person they used to know with a lost smile, possibly a sign of sadness or depression. The mention of stomach gurgles and "pow, pow, pow" also allude to some physical discomfort or illness the person is experiencing. Despite all this, the singer still tries to offer some comfort to this person by giving them a taste of something, probably referring to food or drink, as a way of cheering them up.
The song then shifts to a more upbeat tone as the lyrics mention churning music and feeling the beat. This could signify the singer and the person they are talking to trying to dance their troubles away, or perhaps the singer is trying to uplift the person's spirit with some lively music. The chorus repeats the lines "Spaghetti and red wine, lookin' so fine" and asserts that the singer kissed the other person's lips because they said they were theirs. The final lines imply that the singer wishes to be with that person again, and that they would take care of them, no matter what.
