Huge, half-buried waves of pitch-black tones'n'moans, skittering, insistent hats and synthetic snares rushing in all directions at once - actual dancing not to be ruled out, brain dancing guaranteed. @brian reehil you can’t even see through most windows during the daytime, especially in direct sunlight.

Check out the part where the reporter is laying in bed. They’re blasting him with bright studio lights. It’s always darker inside than it is outside. Now at twilight or nighttime, it’s different.

Suggestion: You can buy shades that allow you to see out, while others can’t see in. There are also glass windows with this effect. 🌿 But to be safe, close your windows if you’re undressed or making love to your partner. Keep in mind too: Many of these drones have audio. 🙂

The "recent" cases were months and in one case YEARS ago. The Seattle case was 2014. The St. Louis "case" was January and the Utah case was December 2017. The Seattle matter was not a spying incident but a guy hired to take images for a builder-far away from the woman. Despite what the story says, it would be illegal to fly so close to a house. PART 107 puts the limit at 400 feet from a structure. That is more than a football field away. And the operator has to have "eyes on" the craft, so the guy hiding and flying a block away is illegal.

It should also be noted that all the drone footage they showed was from a $1500.00 professional grade drone, so of course it is going to have a good camera on it. Any of the ones that people would buy off the shelf like he showed at the end of the video would have a much lower quality camera on it. Which they conveniently didn't show how well those could see inside the house, probably because they tried and realized how little they could see, but that wouldn't make good news! 99% of people who own a DJI drone (or equivalent) are using it commercially or as a hobby and will not be trying to spy on you.

As a licensed drone pilot (107 airmans certificate) I can tell you that if a drone were trying to spy on you, you would most likely know it. When I fly my drone for photographing real estate, all the kids come racing down the block asking if they can fly it. All the moms come out and threaten to call the cops on me, and all the dads want to know where they can buy one, too. Drones are loud. Imagine a blender hovering in the air outside your window. And drones are (generally) equipped with wide angle lenses and cameras with lower resolution meaning that it is pretty difficult to get a decent image of something that is smaller than the size of a car.

Sometimes the drone roams my backyard and flies on top of my house for 1 to 2 minutes. It's really annoying and scary, these things should be banned. I was outside at the time and no curtains to help me.

Not everything that flies is a drone. People need to know the difference between an HD camera drone and an FPV Racing/Freestyle Quad-copter.

A Camera Drone is autonomous and uses a GPS unit to connect to satellites and can be given instructions where it will use its GPS coordinates to make decisions and act upon them to carry out a task. This
technology can be coupled with a variety of sensors to help the drone navigate a flight path via way points set by the drone operator on his/her cellphone with an app that has an interface that's similar to google maps. Some sensors can be used for collision detection and altitude as well as the GPS coordinates. Some camera drones are equipped with very high resolution cameras featuring a telephoto lens that allows the drone operator to zoom in with out loosing resolution allowing for greater detail from far distances and heights. This is available to the public. There are strict laws and regulations put in place that you need to follow in order to legally operate a machine like that. That being said, individuals that are serious drone operators do follow these rules and are the majority.

An FP|V Racing/Freestyle Quad-copter is not autonomous. It has non of the features that a camera drone embodies and can only be piloted from a short range. The only sensor that it has is a gyro system not unlike the one in your smartphone that provides the aircraft with data containing its orientation. It does not make decisions, carry out tasks or even knows where it is. It does not fly itself. It takes great skill and includes hours of flight simulator time to become a skilled FPV pilot in this hobby/sport. They do not carry extremely high resolution HD cameras with a telephoto lens. Instead they carry low resolution 640 x 480p cmos or ccd cameras coupled with a 5.8 GHz video transmitter that sends a snowy image back to a set of FPV goggles containing a 5.8 GHz receiver for a low latency video feed. These Quads are much smaller than a camera drone and can easily exceed highway speeds. They are specifically used for FPV Racing or for FPV Freestyle competition. Freestyle is an areal acrobatic art form filled with difficult tricks and maneuvers challenging FPV pilots to train hard and be initiative with their style. Even though the video that the pilot sees in the FPV goggles is of low resolution, he/she experiences the sensation one would get if they were to all of a sudden spontaneously grow wings and take to the skies. Lets just say that part of our brains don't understand screens yet and can't tell the difference between real life and what it sees on and screen. This can result it quite the adrenaline rush when moving at over 100 kph. Often pilots will strap on a gopro at 1080p resolution to catch the experience to share online with the FPV community. These aircrafts also are subjected to the laws and restrictions put in place going by weight class. Currently in Canada anything under the 250 grams is considered a toy and needs little to no restrictions. They are micro size and can be flown in paces like parks, parking lots, fields, and your front or back yard, etc. The only rules are don't damage people or property. Spying is against the law no matter what fashion it was committed in.

Dont worry about a drone looking at you, because everyone else on your block is already looking and filming you. Dude you are in Illinois, That set up was ridiculous. No one here especially living within arms throw from the city has their homes exposed like that. A good example is the neighbor next door in your video, they know what shades are for. If you want to know what a drone can see at 100 plus feet in the air, which is where most drone pilots are flying, could it be because of trees??? Instead of report on fear and speculation and creating a hostile environment for drone operators try reporting on something with a bit more substantiated value. You could only find one actual case and 2 people who thought they were being spied on. Check out the attached link reporting the lives of 65 people that were saved by drones just last year!!!! How about some integrity for reporting.

i’m doing research on these drones because on a bike ride around my neighborhood with my friend a drone chased us. every time we would go faster so would the drone and same for when we stopped. it was really scary and we were worried about being kidnapped. being two teenage girls it was especially concerning

It'd be impossible for him to do so, unless your deaf. The average drone is 60 decibels - louder than a car alarm. That'd have to be the worst spy ever. Especially when a 20x zoom camera is like 300$ at walmart and produces a better image.
