I'm just fine
Listen to vessel
Inside my mind
Don't let go or go down
Stay inside
I just never hear your lies
Don't let them feed in your lies
I just wanna see if you're fine
Cause it's just wasting time (wasting time)
Don't let them grow up
Don't let them die
Over and over I start to cry
About useless
And worthless things like my mind
Please just let us move on with our lives
Don't ever let them cry
Don't let them feed in your lies
I just wanna see if you're fine
Cause it's just wasting time (wasting time)
We're wasting time (We're wasting time, I'm wasting time)
I'm wasting time (I'm wasting time, I'm wasting time)
I'm wasting time
The lyrics of Dylan Warfel's song "Wasting Time" seem to touch on themes of introspection, inner turmoil, and the struggle to navigate through the complexities of life. The opening lines, "Sit back and relax, I'm just fine, Listen to vessel, Inside my mind," suggest a sense of calmness amidst internal chaos. The singer is urging themselves to stay grounded and not let their thoughts overwhelm them.
The repeated refrain of "Don't ever let them cry, Don't let them feed in your lies" hints at a desire to shield oneself from negativity and falsehoods. There is a plea to maintain a sense of authenticity and honesty, both within oneself and in interactions with others. The line "I just wanna see if you're fine, Cause it's just wasting time" conveys a sense of urgency to address underlying issues rather than letting them fester.
The second verse delves deeper into the singer's emotional struggles, as they express frustration and sadness. The lines "Over and over I start to cry, About useless, And worthless things like my mind" reveal a sense of despair and a feeling of being trapped in negative thought patterns. There is a plea for release and the ability to move forward towards a more positive and fulfilling existence.
The repetition of the phrase "We're wasting time, I'm wasting time" in the chorus underscores the central theme of the song. It seems to reflect on the fleeting nature of time and the importance of not squandering it on unproductive or detrimental pursuits. The overall message of the song may be a call to self-reflection, a reminder to prioritize what truly matters, and a plea to break free from negative cycles.
