Help Me
E Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Brought down in your heyday
Was this your price to pay
You can't deny these bloodshot eyes
A new beginning to a new delay
Well these mornings are the worst though
Will there be mourning for me
Last night's highs followed by tomorrow's lows
A newfound sense of urgency
Just a bit over dramatic
Oh such a tragedy
Cut loose with nothing to choose
In and out of apathy
Lately where's your heart been
Are you still going for gold
Despite the case well it's all out of phase
Where's that drive
That Gusto
Touch of Bold
And your stake is problematic
Sporadic in despondency
You are the tides that the levee's denied
Grasping for complacency
Just a bit over dramatic
Oh such a tragedy
Cut loose with nothing to choose
In and out of apathy
You can fall into the mold but they wont care about you
Drop dead as their martyr and they wont care about you
I'm done pursuing other faceless men's interest now
I'm just here until I'm not
Just a bit over dramatic
Oh such a tragedy

Cut loose with nothing to choose
In and out of apathy

Overall Meaning

The lyrics in E-40's song Help Me depict a man who is struggling with his inner demons and finding it hard to communicate his feelings to his partner. The first verse expresses his remorse for not being able to articulate his emotions and holding back his true feelings, leading to a sense of guilt and frustration. The singer wants his partner to understand that he is trying to find peace within himself and that being with him might not be easy. Despite the challenges, he still loves her and wants to continue the relationship. However, he feels like his partner is not completely supportive of his struggles, making it harder for him to cope with his issues, which he says she can't help him with.

In the second verse, the singer is apologizing for losing control and yelling at his partner in frustration. He acknowledges that his behavior is unacceptable and that he is not himself. He understands that he cannot blame his partner for all his problems, and he has to take responsibility for his actions. The chorus repeats the line "You can't help me" to emphasize that he recognizes that his partner cannot fix his problems for him.

Overall, the song captures the struggles of dealing with personal issues in a relationship and the importance of communication and understanding.

Damn, “I need some help,” this vibe is so on point...I need to know why Yawl ain’t doing this shit today??? It is so apropos, the time is so, ripe right now!!!

As I listen to this song and vacillate through the vicissitudes of my life, this song brings it right on home, I need some help...

E, your flow, your tone and your lyrics are unmatched, then Mr. Go-Hard Black, comes right behind you and takes us to another dimension...

I love his smooth, rough flow; his lyrics, speaks volumes to everyday people such as myself, and his message definitely needs to be put out into the ethos to possibly help redirect someone from choosing the wrong path....

Then comes Mike Marshall, and he just locked it all in with that voice taking us to church...I Am not your average groupie, I Am a 61 yr old fan for real...

I Am an all the way 💯 % Funkateer til I die, and I appreciate good music...this my Kind Sir, is good music...

I cannot believe you guys aren’t in the studio going hard for the money right now mane!!!

Realistically speaking, who can touch Yawl??? E’rbody sound the same today, and each of you have a distinctive voice and (2) two-totally, “Unique Styles” that works well together...

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Go-Hard Black, and trust me, he is still going hard for it!!!

He’s spitting out that erudition for the betterment of his People, and it appears that he genuinely has a heart for the (3) three-things he named in this song, his family, his money and his rap and I will add (2) two- more, his love for his fans, and community....

We the People who remember what real rap music is about miss this real shit and this is the truth, Yawl really need to get back up in that booth and give the Universe what she Craves, “The Real!!!”

Please note, I speak the unadulterated Truth, which needs No Defending, and has No Versions...I Am on some Grown People Shit!!!

Please note Sir, I don’t have an issue with your opinion, I know it’s downright disrespectful to speak against someone’s opinion...because like belly buttons, we all have one...

With that being said, I do take issue with your negative inaccuracies about the illustrious Mr. Go Hard Black....

He was reared in the Frazier Courts Housing Projects and attended Julia C. Frazier Elementary School, where Miss Pace was his First Grade Teacher....

Go Hard possesses the, “It Factor” it’s called the, “Gift of Gab” he has a Heart ❤️ for his People especially those who are disenfranchised, marginalized and gentrified right out of our own neighborhoods, such as East Dallas, old North Dallas, Oak Cliff, South Dallas; West Dallas and Oakland CA etc...

Go Hard Black is genuinely loved, accepted, connected, and respected in All ghettos from coast to coast, as well as the top of North America, right down low, to the Dirty South...

Check out Spotify and see how his music is trending from 300,000 to 500,000 streams to date...his style is uniquely his own and when he collaborate with greatness like Dallas’s own Legend Mr. Robert “Goodie” Whitfield, and the Magnanimous Mr. E-40, you can’t help but feel his groove!!!

He vibrates on a frequency that most artist can only dream of and he shows his People in East Dallas and Oakland, CA., plenty of love...

He’s a Real Nigga that ain’t afraid to show his vulnerabilities as he demonstrates in his hot trending single, “🔥Growed up hurt🔥” That’s real, giving us all something we can feel and relate to....

After meeting Go Hard Black, and getting to know him, his lyrics are his life and the two are not to be separated.

He is Not a manipulator of weak minds, rather a consummate story teller, which allows his Fans to enter into a 3-Dimensional sphere and go inside their own minds and relate to his effervescent messages he’s spitting....

Black, is very approachable and genuinely loves all of his fan’s, the shit he was spitting back in 1996-1997 is so apropos for today, we All need a Revolution and the time is now!!!

Unfortunately, we are still operating out of Massa’s play book in the section of the House Niggas, the Yard Niggas and the Field Niggas; divide and conquer is the play of the day...And Massa says, we will house them and treat them different and let them destroy themselves...

That’s just what one negative word does to an artist character and especially the rapper who creates something so ingenious...

As a People, we have been taught show pure hatilation towards each other, rather than embrace and uplift each other...

Go Hard, stands (10) ten toes down on his square and his music is and has been Billboard top (10) ten ready, he’s just not willing to bend to win; you know the stories...

These artist are in a dog eat dog world and only the strong survive, if our People would start lifting each other up and stop tearing each other down we All could win!!!

I would love to see and hear some Go Hard Black and E-40 today, spitting that real, real!!!

And other Dallas artist that I like such as
Go Hard Black and Mo3; Go Hard Black and B.I.G.P.A.C (WEDEY); Go Hard Black and TATO Tatum; Go Hard Black and C-Thru, and last but certainly not least, Go Hard Black and Brandon Smith...

I Am not going to speak on your uncle, out of respect for my elders, but you’re wrong about the highest selling artist that came out of Dallas, that looks like us and never lived here is:

Usher Raymond IV, (30 million);
Kirk Franklin (10 million) those are albums and singles sold;
Erykah Badu (7 million)

And the No.1 Rapper with (9 million sells) is still Vanilla Ice, who does not look like us. google it, that’s what I did...

So, I just wanted to share a different set of facts and the public can judge for themselves....

It’s a Dangerous thing to have All of this power, (your phone’s computer) at your finger tips, and don’t use it for good...

Again, I Am not disagreeing with your opinion...I Am debating your facts....
Peace and Light💗
