The orgasmic feelings of running down the tunnel in Operation Metro with 30 other dudes all giving war cries on their mics, diving off the cliff in Damavand Peak yelling "SPRING BREAK!!", the non-stop rushing and gunning of Noshahr Canals to level up your guns, (or be that asshole that camped on the crane with a spawn beacon. Y'all know who you are.)

And who can forget the incessant sniping fest galore that was Operation Firestorm?

The honor was on my side mate. The technology of my country is the only thing that prevented me from becoming a jet pilot. I only wanted to pilot F18. Meanwhile I am first year in med school (Santa gifted me this game when it released). It is the best battlefield game we had. I also loved its story and only recently did I realize what it was about. Had I been an American I would have joined the air force 100%, but sadly I am nowhere close to a F18. Can't mention how exthasic, mesmerized and full of tears I was when I watched F18 for the first time in my life at an air show. I fell in love with all military vehicles and weapons and to this day I keep impressing everyone (I know bullet sizes, rockets munitions tools you name it).
Damn I remember the chats where everyone was cursing and everyone was a damn creative sailor. I love this game.

I don't know why devs publish games like bf3 ever again. I know years are passing and trends are changing but 2042 is just disappointment compared to what they showed us on the trailer. Many elements like maps or gameplay, gun action and etc. don't satisfy me as bf3. I can't believe people just make worse games with advanced technology. All i need is a server filled with 64 players on Caspian Border with 3 tanks, 1 attack helicopter, 2 jets fighter and 1 AA tank fighting on each side, 1000 tickets on Conquest and play multiple rounds until i get bored. I remember a lot of people hated the glitchtrap type music the theme was, but I think a lot of people grew to love BF3's theme over time

Same here. And now that I have a PC and Steam, I found it again recently and have added it to my Wishlist for when I eventually’ll get it (don’t have the money right now), but when I do, I’ll be reliving the nostalgia that is Battlefield 3, especially the Super Hornet and Abrams Tank missions.

Same bro . Bf3 was awesome in every aspect . Awesome maps, lots of interesting vehicles, tanks, mobile artillery , APCs, IFVs, helicopters, jets, lots of stuff and so funny as hell, i played every vehicle but nevertheless playing as infantry man was lots of fun too

In wait, we laid playing horrifically under-developed genres known to many as battles of a...royale nature. But, in the fall of 2021, the two original pillars of modern shooters rise once more in the far future of Halo rings and in the near future of 2042.

See you on the Battlefield. It's time for proper, competitive minded players to return from the abyss of battle royale. I look forward to meeting our younger brethren on both arena shooters and large-scale battlefield alike for the first time unleashed from caged and competitively squandered confines of glorified Team Deathmatch and fight for objective victory. Rush, Capture The Flag, Conquest, Oddball, Breakthrough, Territories.

The reclamation of the shooter genre starts in Fall 2021.

(Seriously, screw battle royale...it's literally a tired, non-competitive cesspit that serves as waiting room for gamers while devs realize that we want actual multiplayer)

uhm no. What the regular average player wanted was and probably still is battle royale.Because news flashs gaming is becoming more casual and more players are joining the comunities. And no matter how much yo uwant to deny it EA and other Developers make games for these people becasue they want to suceed and make a profit. Battle Royal would have been as asuccesful as it was if people wanted somethig ndifferent. Like there is no way for that to work any other way unless you somehow force people to play.

I love Battlefield, but... "original pillar of modern shooters"? It's absolutely not. The two "pillars of modern shooters" are Half-Life and Doom. If you want to pick out more modern games (specifically multiplayer), it's Halo and Call of Duty.

TenLetters and I just quit that game, if you play on MnK and are constantly competing in the higher tier like pred lobby you know exactly what Im saying. Not even gonna start with eff rollers
