Overall Meaning

The first line of the song "合図だった空の色" can be interpreted as the color of the sky being the signal or the indication that something is about to happen. In the next line, the singer realizes his greed and how he has been taking things for granted. He compares himself to the scattered meaningless things that the wind has blown away. He's collecting them, yet he still feels like something is missing. The third and fourth lines express the boredom and the fear of the sound of footsteps. But the colorful sketches or graffiti around him give him hope, and he finds a humor in everything.
