Genuinely appreciated by their fans, they were known for music with a distinct arrangement style drawing from rock, rap (they often used a melodic-chorus/rap-verse pattern), funk, jazz, electronica, and sampling-based production. Reggae was also a very heavy influence, rhythmically and vocally. This unique blend was virtually nonexistent elsewhere.
Earthsuit only had one label release: Kaleidoscope Superior (2000). Two prior demo EPs contained early versions of some of Kaleidoscope Superior's songs, some unreleased songs, and a live medley including a cover of "Killing Me Softly". Their final album, The Rise of Modern Simulation (2003) was released after the band had already dissolved. It was available for a short time to be purchased directly from the band's website. This collection features five original studio songs, as well as 11 bonus tracks including a live remix of The Kaleidoscope Superior track “Against the Grain” and practice sessions of some of their concert material (such as the “Said the Sun To the Shine” Kraftwerk medley, an outro medley, and a cover of the Talking Heads' "Once in a Lifetime"). It also features several concert videos and Live Recordings from a Concert (at the http://murgopenair.ch) in Frauenfeld.
Members Paul Meany, Roy Mitchell, and Darren King are now in the band Mute Math, which has experienced success in the mainstream market. Adam LaClave went on to form the bands Macrosick and Club of the Sons, and has most recently recorded as a solo artist under the moniker Charlie Blacksmoke.

Earthsuit Lyrics

Everybody singing do re mi
with the earth s-u-i-t
Tonight we're making history
It's been a long time coming; now we're here
Came to cut off the hands of fear
Like a dangerous dream, you'll see
We're coming with the one two three
Everybody singing do re mi
with the earth s-u-i-t
Tonight we're making history
Stop your thought processing for a while;
That computing is out of style.
Join the new sound regime where we
set to intake from a place that our eyes haven't seen
Ya'll can get down, flip wild, supadelic child.
Ya'll I've been out for a while star wishing
Listen to the sound; in my heart is an unchained melody
Ability to purify a devil's infidelity
Time again I hear that same old same old
I rest my head to wake up; same old same old
I go to the Rock with my one time shot
Dilemma turned fable from the elements of my fathers table
No label could ever say what's inside me
This love that won't depend on whether or not I say I'm sorry
And it's all around here for everybody
History will be made tonight.
The song "1-2-3" by Earthsuit is a motivational anthem that encourages listeners to join the new sound regime, free their minds from fear, and make history together. The lyrics use musical and poetic expressions to convey this message. The song begins with an upbeat rhythm and the repetition of the counting phrase "one two three." This counting phrase is used to introduce the idea of unity and teamwork, as everyone can count together regardless of their differences.
The next line "Everybody singing do re mi" refers to the solfeggio system of musical notation, which uses syllables to represent musical notes. This line invites everyone to participate in the song, irrespective of their musical abilities, and to find harmony in the do-re-mi sequence. The following line "with the earth s-u-i-t" refers to the band's name, Earthsuit, enhancing the idea of inclusivity and unity in the song.
The chorus repeats the initial verses and emphasizes "Tonight we're making history." This statement indicates that the song is not just about singing together but doing something extraordinary that will be remembered for ages. The song's theme of breaking free is conveyed in the second verse, where it mentions cutting off the hands of fear, numbing the pain, and joining a new sound regime. The lyrics implore listeners to take a break from their usual computing and thought processing and join the new sound regime that promises to be free from fear and pain.
In conclusion, "1-2-3" is a motivational song that encourages unity, teamwork, and freedom. The song's message is conveyed through musical and poetic expressions using a solfeggio system and a call to join the new sound regime. The song's theme of making history is emphasized throughout, making it an anthem for motivation and change.
