I spent nearly eight years on the streets or in a shelter--the final six years in a homeless shelter in Baltimore (only a mile or so from the city's tourist trap, the Inner Harbor).
It's a depressing, nearly hopelss way to have to live, but I was thankful for a meal and a warm, dry bed to sleep in. Like many others, I became complacent and just accepted it as my fate. I'm out now, collecting SS retirement benfits and living in a subsidized apartment. The freedom and privacy are great.
But I digress.
I just wanted to say thank you for caring about all of our homeless--men, women, and children. I've seen whole families in those shelters and it's no place for a child to grow up.
By doing what you're doing, trust me, you are giving hope to homeless Americans. And rest assured, most of us really appreciate it.
When you donate dry goods, or food, or volunteer to serve dinners in a shelter, you are reminding many that there are people out there who still care.
Be proud of what you're doing. It is truly a good and wonderful gift.

Great review my friend. Love those 1911/2011's. I think I might need another. Maybe just add some custom work to my RIA double stack 10mm. Time will tell..
