Tullett's new record Fiancé, which he considers his true debut, is out now on Monotreme Records. On it, Tullett showcases his own natural progression from the influences of modern melodic folk, alternative R&B, and dream pop elements.
Other ongoing projects include working on a full-length release in collaboration with burgeoning alt-folk artist Novo Amor, with love for their first single "Faux" reaching from NPR to BBC Radio 1 and placements in Bones and Pretty Little Liars. Their new collaborative single 'Alps' was released in April 2016 to similar acclaim

Ivory
Ed Tullett Lyrics

Call it all a fiancé glow
Lure it all closer, maul a sheer embrace
Call it all an anime clone
Two-tone malaise
Condone our age and our waist
Born of our haste, Born slow
I will wear your glow
On my face, ′virgin', I′ll wager you go
You broke a faith
You woke ornate and un-aged
Born of a wraith
Born ghost
Our somber ghost
Our somber ghost a fervour
Oh a further haze
Go and I'll stray
Call it all labour, brawl over the lace
Call it all a fiancé glow
Lure it all closer, maul a sheer embrace
Call it all an anime clone
You build intrigue, all
Blue bathe and breed on
You build intrigue, all
Blue bathe and breed on
You build intrigue, all
Blue bathe and breed on
You build intrigue, all
Blue bathe and breed on
You build intrigue, all
Blue bathe and breed on
You build intrigue, all
Blue bathe and breed on
The lyrics to Ed Tullett's song "Ivory" are filled with abstract imagery and metaphors, making the interpretation somewhat open to personal interpretation. The song seems to explore themes of love, relationships, and the complexities of human emotions.
The first few lines, "Call it all labour, brawl over the lace," suggest a struggle or conflict within a romantic relationship. The mention of "fiancé glow" implies a sense of anticipation or excitement. The following lines, "Lure it all closer, maul a sheer embrace, Call it all an anime clone," could be seen as a reference to the artificial nature of some relationships and the tendency to replicate certain idealized versions of love portrayed in media like anime.
The recurring line, "Born of our haste, Born slow," seems to highlight the paradoxical nature of love, where it can simultaneously feel spontaneous and rushed, yet also evolve slowly over time. The phrase "I will wear your blow" suggests a willingness to endure the emotional impact or pain inflicted by a loved one. The mention of being a "virgin" conveys a sense of vulnerability.
The second half of the song continues to explore the complexities of love with lines like "You broke a faith, You woke ornate and un-aged, Born of a wraith, Born ghost." These lines could suggest a betrayal or the realization that someone is not who they appeared to be. The repeated phrases "Our somber ghost" and "You build intrigue, all, Blue bathe and breed on" could symbolize the lingering emotional aftermath of a failed relationship.
Ultimately, the lyrics of "Ivory" evoke a sense of confusion, introspection, and the enigmatic nature of love and human connections.
