This must be one of the hottest jazz numbers. Adrian Rollini is great on vibes at the start, and at the end with his two solos on the bass sax.
All great solos. This swings.
I think your photo is of Lonnie Johnson, a great friend of Eddie Lang. Eddie Lang is a white guy. Lonnie J played guitar with the Louis Armstrong Hot 5 on Savoy Blues.

That’s a lovely story.

I used to sing with Mary Johnson, Lonnie's wife, or ex wife? back in the early fifties in St. Louis. She was a very good pianist and could transpose into any key i needed for some songs. My girlfriend (now wife of 62 years) and I would take her home after closing and she would always tell us to get out of the neighborhood fast, as it was dangerous. She told me she at one time had her own band and toured the world, including Australia. She started out as a blues singer named Mary Smith in Mississippi and was shown on the old "red hot jazz" website. I'm not sure if that is still alive.

Do please note that the guitarist depicted is, as cvtsboy wrote a month ago, Lonnie Johnson, not Eddie Lang. It should be corrected, here and elsewhere. .
