Chamber Six
Edge of Dawn Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Corrupts the heart
And if the child
Corrupts the man
The seal is broken
A graceful sword
Embrace a chance
To end a life
The seal is broken
A graceful sword
Rewards a lie
Face the chance
That you might die
-- Persian female voice (translated)--
When the soul corrupts the heart
And the child corrupts the man
The seal is broken
And the sinners face their trials
Five line of lies
Pervade your life
In chamber six
We close your file
The seal is broken
What if the soul
Corrupts the heart
And if the child
Corrupts the man
The seal is broken
Five line of lies
Pervade your life
A wasteed chance
You will die
In Chamber Six by Edge Of Dawn, the lyrics speak to a deep and meaningful reflection on the human condition. The first two lines suggest that the soul and the child have the potential to corrupt the heart and the man, respectively. This alludes to the idea that the purity of youth and the innocence of the soul can be tainted throughout life. The following line, "The seal is broken," may signify a moment of realization or reckoning, where the damage is done and the consequences must be faced. The next few lines touch on the theme of betrayal and deception, where a graceful sword rewards a lie and a chance presents itself to end a life. The Persian female voice in the song translates the repercussions of the corrupt soul and child, where the sinners face their trials, and they close the file on this five line of lies that had pervaded their life in chamber six. The song urges the listener to face their fears and their choices and understand that there are consequences to actions in life, and that one can't escape judgement even if they try to cover up their lies.
