In February of 2006, Elevation Church launched its first worship experience. Two and a half short years later Elevation Church is meeting in multiple locations with a weekly attendance that has topped 4,000. Through God's favor and a relentless pursuit of His vision we have watched over 2,000 people profess faith in Jesus Christ during our second year of ministry.
Commitment to the vision of life transformation is what drives every corner of this ministry. These songs were birthed from the heart of this movement. Our hope is that through these songs, you'll experience a glimpse of this revolutionary move of God.

Into new beginnings
As we lift our eyes to a hope beyond
All creation waits
With an expectation
To declare the reign of the Lord our God
We will not be moved
For the risen One has overcome
And for every fear
There's an empty grave
For the risen One has overcome
Now the silence breaks
In the name of Jesus
As the heavens cry let the earth respond
All creation shouts
With a voice of triumph
To declare the reign of the Lord our God
We will not be moved
When the earth gives way
For the risen One has overcome
And for every fear
There's an empty grave
For the risen One has overcome
He shall reign forever
Strongholds now surrender
For the Lord our God has overcome
Who can be against us?
Jesus our Defender
He is Lord and He has overcome
He shall reign forever
Strongholds now surrender
For the Lord our God has overcome
Who can be against us?
Jesus our Defender
He is Lord and He has overcome!
We will not be moved
When the earth gives way
For the risen One has overcome (yes, he has)
And for every fear
There's an empty grave
For the risen One has overcome
We will not be moved
When the earth gives way
For the risen One has overcome
And for every fear
There's an empty grave
For the risen One has overcome
The lyrics of Elevation Worship's song "Overcome" speak of a powerful and unwavering faith in the face of adversity. The song begins with the imagery of darkness fading and new beginnings emerging, symbolizing a hopeful change. The lyrics suggest that as we lift our eyes to a hope beyond, all of creation anticipates and yearns for the reign of the Lord our God to be declared.
The chorus emphasizes the unshakable faith of the singer, proclaiming that they will not be moved even when the earth gives way. This is because the risen One, Jesus, has already overcome. The reference to an empty grave represents the victory over death and fear that Jesus achieved through his resurrection.
In the second verse, the silence is broken in the name of Jesus, and the heavens and earth respond with shouts of triumph. The song affirms that Jesus is Lord and Defender, and his reign is eternal. The lyrics express the belief that no one can stand against Jesus, and any strongholds or obstacles will ultimately surrender to his power.
Overall, "Overcome" is a song of faith, hope, and triumph. It encourages listeners to trust in the power of Jesus to overcome any challenges or fears they may face. The lyrics convey a steadfast belief in the victory that Jesus secured through his resurrection, and the assurance that this victory can be claimed by all who put their trust in him.
