Elgar Conducting New Symph.O. Lyrics

Lançou mais uma, hein
Brum, explodiu
Thiaguinho MT
Chama no breguinha, bebê
Los Panchos
Cinco regrinhas básicas
Essas são as cinco regras
Pra dar a volta por cima
Que aprender?
Vem com nóis
Que nóis te ensina
Essas são as cinco regras
Pra dar a volta por cima
Que aprender?
Vem com nóis
Que nóis te ensina
Primeira se ame
Segunda se cuide
Terceira supere
Na quarta ilude
Na quinta aquela para desesperar
Desespera não, hein bebê
Coloca sua melhor roupa
Que hoje ele vai surtar
Que essa daí 'tá vestida pra matar
Coloca sua melhor roupa
Que hoje ele vai surtar
Que essa daí 'tá vestida pra matar
Tá tá tá tá tá
Que essa daí 'tá vestida pra matar
Tá tá tá tá tá
Que essa daí 'tá vestida pra matar
'Tá vestida 'tá vestida 'tá vestida pra matar
'Tá vestida 'tá vestida 'tá vestida pra matar

The lyrics to Elgar Conducting New Symph.O.'s song V are primarily centered around teaching listeners five basic rules to help them overcome difficult or challenging situations. The song opens with a few lines from JS and Brum, then transitions into a verse by Thiaguinho MT inviting people to embrace the rules and come along with them to learn. The chorus repeats the five rules: love yourself, take care of yourself, surpass yourself, deceive in the fourth rule, and finally, the fifth rule is left unfinished but hinted to be something that causes desperation.
The basic message of the song is uplifting and meant to inspire listeners to overcome obstacles. The lyrics encourage people to dress up and show off on the outside, portraying confidence and strength, while working on themselves internally to love, care, and improve themselves. Overall, the song aims to be a source of motivation and strength to those who need it, emphasizing the power of loving oneself and taking control of one's own life.

The most beautiful piece of music ever written. If this does not bring out your emotions, I feel sorry for you. Bernstein was so great

Abba solute lay not the most beautiful piece of music ever written. It is very beautiful, but it is certainly not the most. I can name at least 4 Beethoven piano sonatas alone that are more beautiful

When I first heard this interpretation, I too was mortified at the tempo....... However having listened to it now, many, many times........ It is incredible!!!

@fyvewytches bernstein’s conducting was slow but not lethargic and never emotionless. If you can’t hear the level of phrasing and emotion in this then you weren’t listening carefully enough.
The point of his tempi choices in pieces like this that are especially loved and beautiful is because we love them so much, most performances are rushed and do not allow the audience the time to enjoy the music for itself. He does the same thing when he conducted the Mozart ave verum corpus.

@fyvewytches thank you for your comment but yes I do realize that Elgar wrote this great piece
fyvewytches
Not sure from your comment but do you realise that he did not write this? Elgar did. Bernstein’s conducting is so slow it’s bordering on the ridiculous. The is no emotion in this interpretation, just lethargy.

I can understand people’s consternation about the slowness of this rendition .
However, I love this composition so much I wish it could go on for ever.
Beautiful.

This is my favorite version of this amazing piece. I can't say why but it seems more grand and sweeping than other versions, and more subtle in it's beauty.

Why rush? Do you gulp down fine wine? Try slow. This is some of the most beautiful music ever written!!!

This is my favourite version. Deserves to be enjoyed slowly.
